It went a bit unnoticed in the various humble threads but this month, the Humble Bundle has started to publish exclusive games for their monthly subscribers.

As the subscription service has already 70.000 members, they allocate some of their funds to get exclusivity on small indie games which thus won't be available anywhere else for some time (hence the "Humble Originals").

oh god
will we get humble movies next ?
I hate the idea of exclusive games. They might just be short, experimental games, but I want to have the chance to play them without subscribing to a monthly surprise bundle (in which I will probably just get a lot of Steam keys I have no use for).

I vote for Humble Cookies, that would be more tasty :o)
Oh man, I cannot remember the last thing done by Humble that didn't make me loathe them more... ◔_◔

Pssssh. What kind of digital video games distribution service would be dumb enough to sink time and money into that?
Another dumb idea from Humble. :D

yeah i have no idea who would be crazy enough to go down that pointless avenue ...oh https://www.gog.com/movies##sort=bestselling&page=1
70K subscribers at 12$ a pop... over 800K relatively assured revenue per month...
I don't like the surprise subscription model, but they have hit this one out of the park...

Then IMO, the idea to fund "originals" is freaking brilliant. Not only another differentiator that reinforces their "humble" brand, but a model that works very well for TV subscriptions already.

And the long term thinking... how do you think the creators of those games will feel about HIB in the future? More or less willing to let their games be bundled?
Aren't you sort of misrepresenting this? Both your links clearly state that this is Humble funding games. They're not paying to make existing games exclusive, they're exclusive because they're made for them.
That chugging framerate. :-/
The developer Mighty Rabbit has released two of their games on GOG: Breach & Clear and Breach & Clear: Deadline. Here's a wishlist entry in case anyone would like to see this here when the exclusivity period ends:

Hmm, I'm not really sure I get it. So, those "Humble Originals" are first given out to the subscribers, and then end up in the Humble Store? Is that how it works?
"The elephant in the room" looks very... uninteresting to me, really. Didn't want to be too quick to judge, so I tried to find out something more about it - turns out that short youtube video is the only available info (not even the dev's own website has info on the game, apparently). I find that a bit weird...

If the trailer is anything to go by, this wouldn't be any loss had this game won't appear anywhere else...
