Hi all,

I've been dying for some turn-based RPG action like these old gold-box games for a while now. There doesn't seem to be any new games like this out right now. So I though I might give these old favorites a re-play. :)

But I am concerned about how well they will work on my new, modern PC. I have a big-screen monitor with runs at 1980x1024. Is the game going to stretch to fit? Or does it shrink into some tiny little box in the middle of the screen with a border around it or something?

Thanks. :)
You'll need to be more specific on the actual game, but for the most part, any games you get here on GOG should work fine. But, depending on the game, some may stretch to fit the screen.

Oh, sorry. I thought I was posting a forum specific to the game. I was talking about the Forgotten Realms - The Archives - Collections. :)

Select aspect ratio scaling in your GPU control panel and no game will ever stretch. I can confirm that it works on Nvidia cards.
Maybe some integrated graphics won't let you do it - but the monitor might. In any case, I would never play a game stretched.
@OP: If should have additional specific questions regarding the game you mentioned, this is the game specific forum

They play just fine and if you have "aspect ratio scaling" on in your settings like teceem said they will look normal as well. No worries mate! :)
Here's a concise article on what GPU scaling is and how to enable it, for both AMD and NVIDIA cards:

No worries. I assume you posted through the Galaxy client. It has this quirk that it doesn't send you to the game subforum, but rather to the general discussion forum. Others have addressed the method of being certain it doesn't stretch, so hopefully you can enjoy your game the way you want. :)
