I was looking to subscribe a game discussion to get notification if any new topic is created. Is possible?

I don't think so I'm afraid. You can "favourite" it by searching for the forum, and checking the box next to it (you probably already knew that). However the only way to know there's a new post is to check the last posted date next to it.

It used to be the case that the forum would "grey out" when you'd read everything, similar to the posts that you'd read, but they dropped that feature a few years ago. Guess it was too hard to maintain all that per user state.

I'm not sure, if you're referring to something entirely else, but any thread, that I have read already, resp. every thread, where I was the last person posting a comment, still gets greyed out.

And as soon as somebody else posts a comment into a previously greyed out thread, that thread "becomes white" again.

If that's not the case for you - maybe check your settings (is there a setting to this)?
Or do you maybe use an extern program/extension, that messes up with that forum stuff?

Threads yes, but not the entire forum link. I'm talking about the links from the All Forums page. It used to be (quite a while ago) that when you visited the forum then that link would grey out until a new topic was posted.
Sorry maybe I got confused with the terms. For example:
The ability to subscribe to the Syndicate series forum to receive notification whenever someone creates a new question.
I ask this because some forums are rarely attended and a question could go unnoticed for months.

Sorry, I don't believe there is such a possibility.
At least - not in the way, you might want it to be.
You will have to click on the "community" -link in the upper or lower left corner (see pic1), to go to the games' subforums.

If you already own the game in question, its forum should be set automatically to "this is my favorite forum"and thus will show up in your "community" - section.
Else you'll have to search for the game in question.

After you visited a subforum (Syndicate), the link to it will be greyed out.
As soon as anybody comments (or opens up a new topic/question) in that subforum, it will be shown white again, with a time or date attached, to indicate, when the last change was made. (see pic2)

However - you must control that personally - GOG's forum won't alert you about a new comment/topic/question.

I think they stopped doing this, my new purchases don't do this anymore.

So you still get the greying out on the forum links? Annoying that I don't in FF.

Oh, you're right...I just checked, and there are indeed a lot of games, I own, that are not automatically set to "favourite"...damn...that'll take some time, doing it on my own.

Yes. And I'm using Chrome.

I'm using up-to-date Firefox (59.0.3), and it still works for me. Are you on an older version? Or maybe some add-on (or combination thereof) is messing with things?

Thank you, that will work.
