Sry got a big question out there.

I have a code that gives me a value of 9,99 €. So when i redeem that code it shows me 74 pages. And because I want a specific game I need to browsse through all of the sites? Isnt there an easier way to do it?

Unless you know the name of the game you want to purchase.
If so, you can simply insert the name in the search bar (click at search, in the right corner of the screen, at the top. An empty bar will appear, click on it and type the name of the game desired).
Unfortunately there isn't an easier way as there is no way to sort based on price, nor is there a way to filter based on price to that particular level of granularity. So the only way on GOG to do it is to read through 74 pages of games, probably stopping to take an Ibuprophen a few times.

There is another option though, which is to use the 3rd party MaGOG search engine made by forum regular mrkgnao which lets you search the entire GOG catalogue in just about every way imaginable.

http://www.an-ovel.com/pages/magog.php

You can tweak the various search options and filters and probably find something useful to narrow things down and create a game short list, then read their pages on the store etc. and narrow it down from there.

It's really too bad though that GOG doesn't have better more advanced searching and sorting mechanisms baked into the store. They don't need to add the full complexity of MaGOG to the store as that'd probably scare a lot of users, but they could sure use some improvements that add more options for sorting and filtering in a user friendly way for sure.

Sometimes when a sale is on, I want to see which games are $5 or less sorted lowest price to highest price and I often just give up and don't even bother looking. MaGOG can be used in cases like that too but the results don't always match due to time lag of the search engine polling the store not lining up with short term promo prices and other factors. Still MaGOG is great though and the best thing we have for sorting and filtering the morass of games here.

Incidentally, if GOG *did* have a "sort by price ascending/descending" and "filter to only games within the following user supplied price range [$0.xx] to [$0.yy]", I probably would have spent $200+ more here in past promos whimsically because it'd be too easy to find more games I don't really need at rock bottom prices that I just couldn't pass up. So in a way GOG's lack of sorting/filtering options has saved me even more money, another reason to shop at GOG.com!

Honestly, the best way? Do this in Google:

'name of game' site:gog.com
But the thing when I enter the code 74 pages appear. And then I need to check the box on that game what I want. But I can not enter a specific page and I doesnt know on which page the game is. So I need to browse through all of the sites.

But 3 times now i just got an error. Couldn't they not implementing a feature that you can add the game you want tro buy and then click on redeem a code. It would be so much easier to me.

Why are you entering the code before you've chosen the game? Is it a redeem code? A store credit code? What?

You stated that you have a specific game you want. If that is so, and it's not a game redeem code, just do as I suggested in Google with the name of the game. It will give you a direct link at GOG. You can then go there, add it to your cart and enter the code at checkout. If it is a game redeem code it should take you directly to a captcha, then to your redeemed game in your account.
What is the code?

I once had a generic 9.99 code like the one the OP already has stated he has. I had to go through the problem he/she has too.

Out of curiosity I checked to see if it was any different now and I don't see any place to enter a code in the checkout page.

Exactly. Thats how it is so I better write with the support. maybe they can help.

The code I have has a value from 9,99 €. When I redeem the code I shows me all games in that range. That are now 74 pages. To claim the game I need to tick the game that I want and then Its mine. However my desired game is (Gothic 3) seems to be at the end but i can not reach it because the site will give me an error.

I put the game in my cart, I go to checkout. Where would I put a code?

You do recall that GOG every now and then hands out codes for a $5.99 or a $9.99 game of your choice, right? To redeem one of those codes, you do indeed go to that page. Then you get a list of all the games in the code's price criteria, and you have to select the one you want. How you do that? By going through all of the 74 pages of games, and clicking the one you want, similar to how you select a game from a multigame code (and having done that recently for a 50 game code, it is a pain).

I've never gone through that, so no I don't recall. I can imagine it must be a pain if you can't redeem the code directly. Shame they don't categorise the list. Then again, this is GOG: logic not being a strong point.
