I have a thing for obscure, unpolished, (non early access) open world games made by devs that aren't AAA. So, obviously I've been hunting for years for Xenus2 : White Gold. I love Boiling Point and all its awkwardness. I also love the Stalker series,..

But after getting no results searching ebay, amazon, beamdog.com, gamergate,.. etc,.. I'm turning to this forum because I'm sure someone on here has got to have a copy and/or know where I can get one. I'll also need an English patch.

Am I out of luck? Should I consider Xenus 2 to be a lost relic?

Apparently, an official English release used to be available on Gamersgate, but it seems to have been removed at some point. That's all I know.

It was published by Game Factory Interactive. You may want to try and write them a few words (check this page).

Together with countless ones, yes, I'm afraid.
Paraworld is one of these, Worldshift too, Commandos: Strike force ("gladly", I bought this one on Beamdog before its removal... the same Beamdog that made a HUGE promo for The Precursors, another game from the Xenus II devs and they actually sold out all the keys).
There are more wild games out there which ya can't buy anywhere -I also hate piracy and won't download a copy at all- like Outrun 2006, Dreamkiller, XIII, C&C Renegade, Cryostasis, American McGee's Alice and MANY MORE :(

I see lots of used copies of the PS2 version of Commandos: Strike Force in all the used game shops I visit. Didn't realize the pc version was so rare.

It's a shame that these games are left to rot and not be made available again on Steam or GOG or something. I still have my old discs of No One Lives Forever 1 and 2 and I guess I really need to keep them safe since they're never going to be re-released in digital form.

But hey, never say never! I didn't think, honestly, that Sea Dogs, some Trek games and Warhammer ones would ever be released again and voilà, here they are.

But damn I wish I could play some Precursors/Xenus II right now... :(

Nope, still not available anywhere. Precursors was up on Beamdogs store - other than that nothing anywhere.

For a moment, I read the title as Xenon 2!! And I later found out that it's an old thread! I need more coffee! :)

Anyway, maybe you can try your luck on ebay and find a Russian retail copy.
