Polly77: As I'm barely out of the 300 games in total door, I think I'll use this thread to demonstrate to my husband I do not buy too many games!
Hehe, do you think i would have had so many games if i would have been married? I figured out it's better to just stock up now, while i'm free.

305 on GoG

Around 75 in CD/DVD and circa 50 in diskette/floppy form (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don't_Copy_That_Floppy and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHaAFqoVLtI)

About the game shelf topic: I have complained everywhere. Need more complaining about the game shelf change everywhere. Some guys with toasters maybe had their browser crash, so please make it default but give the option to make our game shelf one big list without pagination (like the old one was).

A bunch.
And I'm sitting here, barely pushing the mid-80s with physical, Steam, Origin and GOG combined...

thebes: I need two lifetimes! How many ya'll got?
Just one. Like everyone else I suppose.
Currently something like:

GOG: 1169
Steam: 418 (the Profile page says 423, not sure why, it is counting something differently; many of these games I have also on GOG)
HumbleBundle Windows: 171 (counting DRM-free games, not Steam keys; many of these I have also on GOG)
HumbleBundle Android: 353
EA Origin: 21 (all are freebies, except a couple which I got from the EA HumbleBundle deal a long time ago; yet to buy anything from the service itself)
DotEmu: 18
GamersGate: 6
Strategy First's store: 29
Maybe 10 or so on some other digital stores I don't remember (I've downloaded the games already though).
Retail PC: several hundreds
Retail PSOne/PS2: several dozens, maybe up to hundred.
Retail XBox: 1 (that darn Halo 2 that I ended up playing with the superior PC version instead)
DVD games: 1 (Space Ace)

I hope to live long enough to play and finish all these games because then I would probably live forever.

As Mr. Raoul Duke so perfectly stated in "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas": "Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious game collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can." Or was he talking about somehing else? I can barely remember...
Like many here, I have too many: my breakdown. I'm currently sitting at 5,639 games. PC is my largest system, with 1,756 on Steam, 629 on GOG, and 263 physical (plus a few on other digital platforms).

I definitely need to work on my completion statistics though. I'm sitting at a 14.04% completion rate. If you only include backlogged games, it's a little better at 41.10%, but still pretty terrible :P

Part of the problem is I enjoy collecting games as well, so I have a lot of stuff I'm never going to "beat", but have enjoyed just playing around with (mostly for nostalgia).

I'm surprised I still am! :D
1500+ Steam
600+ GOG
Quite a few - uPlay / Origin / Battle.net
A whole heap - Humble

yeah.....
Yet I keep buying more and am more likely to watch LPs on Youtube than play them myself
I own .... many games. Far too many for one life; but I hope for more ;-) it's x-mas. Best time for little kids and ehh not so little hippos.
214 on Steam (probably 200 are actual games, rest are MP launchers and such), 103 on GOG (including all the freebies I never installed), 14 on Origin (4 are dupes I have on Steam), maybe 75-ish across different consoles, 15 on uPlay, 3 non-platformed (Diablo 2/3, WoW).
290 games on GOG, 90 on Steam and several hundred in my collection. Addicted to World of Warcraft.
About 300, all told, including 182 GOGs (since GOG split individual purchases up in our libraries), about 100 (in many cases now useless) physcial copies, about 18 Steam games and a few others. I used to be ultra-selective when buying games but digital downloading is just too convenient. I've made too many impulse buys, but most of them were on sale and very cheap at the time. I reckon that out of that 300 I will probably properly play and enjoy fewer than 100. More fool me... It's still an incredibly good value-for-money hobby though, but I can't believe some of the figures in the posts above ! "That game appeals to me, I might like to play it one day..." Kerrching !
