I've finished at least 107 games in the last two years alone (which ones can be [url=http://www.gog.com/forum/general/games_finished_in_2014/post695]here) not even counting those where I left some not fun part unfinished like Osmos, etc...

Are you only playing hardcore CRPGs?

A lot!  Mainly Atari 2600, VIC-20, Commodore 64 and PC games, but also vintage handheld games (Mattel's Baseball, Coleco's Bowlatronic, etc.), arcade games, TRS-80, Colecovision, Amiga, Playstation 2, Wii and XBox360 games.

My first game (I still have it) has a copyright date of 1981, so that's 34 years of gaming. So not even going to try and count it.

Me too. I had one with the wolf from the USSR animated series "nu pogodi". My gf still has one. Dat stuff was dope.

All i know is that i played around 200 sega mega drive games and then i went to pc and probably played much more pc games than the sega ones,number is unknown how many i played since i didn't count em.
Only lists of media i have is how many rpg maker games i've beaten and how many anime i watched and which ones both in txt format.

I have no idea how many games I've played, and not going to try to guess. I don't even think there's a chance of me finding out the real number, even if I did want to try. I don't remember most of them, certainly those $2 C64 games or those I entered from magazines.


He asked about games played, not games owned. Unless of course you play everything you collect, in which case the answer is certainly relevant.

Hmmm... tough question.

Never owned a huge amount of games, mainly due to the price, but I would say (including my current GoG catalogue, a lot of which I haven't played) I've probably owned between 150 - 250 games...
But played? I have no idea.. I used to rent games quite a bit, and play games at friends houses (one in particular always used to have tonnes of games as his dad was geeky and probably a bit of a pirate)
I wouldn't say the total is anywhere near 1000, but maybe three or four hundred?

Maybe my completed games is double that; I'm guessing to be honest. There aren't that many games i've finished, and a number of them that i love i've played a second or third time and beat (WindForge, MMX, FF-X as examples).

I know the last two years i've got quite a list going, but my playing is on and off most of the time, and more often i've tried a game out only to just drop it shortly after. Most of these are used console games where i am trying the game to make sure the disc works. Then there's games you can't beat/complete, or if you could they are quite a ways in and i've just not gotten there, usually Rogue-likes which i really enjoy for example.

As I said, far too many to count - yes I do play as much as I can. What did I get through in October/Novemeber/December (so far): Uncharted1-3, Tomb Raider, Currently 2/3rds way through Red Dead Redemption. Cancelled Castlevania LOS as it was fecking awfull.

Edit, add Lego LOTR to the list as well :o)
