v3: That means they're using the browser's user agent to determine OS. I wonder if that's the only criteria employed when determining number of Linux users.
I think it was mentioned somewhere that downloads are used as well. Even though that by itself can be a rather uncertain variable (some people download everything for offline storage just in case, other people wait months after purchase until they finally download a game), it is another data point that may or may not help them make a more certain decision.
