Between games here and on Steam, its pretty big :(
I have ~560 games in my backlog, 2/3 of it is old classics, RPGs, sims, strategies so it will take years to complete. I hope I can live long life to complete it or at least to finish more games than I'm getting added to it. I reduced my purchases to almost nothing and it definitely helped.
This year I finally finished with Morrowind, Oblivion and looking forward to start with Skyrim. TES series are the hardest, such a time sink
Well, my entire library of games (across all platforms) is very modest (200+), so my backlog remains very manageable. When I get a new game often the longest period of waiting it does on the backlog is the time it takes for me to finally download the thing (which can be days, weeks or even months).

So I generally have about roughly 80% of my collection complete (or played to a point that I abandon it for any reason), while the rest is either in progress or pending start.

I wonder what will happen with game sales and game production in future. At this rate we're getting backlogs and there's too many games released every month to keep up with (including indie scene, I do believe indie devs deserve same attention as triple A devs). At some point we, owners of massive backlogs, will have to stop and reconsider our buying habits.
Combining Steam, GOG, and physical games I have that I haven't played to any meaningful extent? Probably over 1500. But I would only consider my "true" backlog to be games I truly want to play so much that if I were to die tomorrow, I would be sad that I never got to play them. That list is much, much smaller. A few dozen maybe.

I've already changed my buying habits and don't buy nearly as many games as I used to. Usually only ones I plan to play immediately. Other than that I don't want to get caught up in the sunk cost fallacy trying to force myself to play every game I've ever spent money on. That way madness lies.
Update:
100% - 133 games totally
24,0% - 32 games completed
6,7% - 9 games not finished, but played
10,5% - 14 games marked as too buggy, too boring or impossible to play on today HW due to bad control system
9,0% - 12 games waiting for new GPU (I am using integrated one)
54,1% - 72 untouched (there are many freebies included, just in case I always take all)

My mission in completing backlog continue well.
Backlog:

Steam = 2600+
GOG = 200+
Epic = 20+
Twitch = 50+
UPlay = 10+
Origin = 5+

I have completed over 300 games in the last decade. I will never finish my backlog because i buy more games every year than i can complete. Its hopeless :)

My Backlog is immense, well over 1000 games. Notables include D:OS2 and Pillars of Eternity 2, as well as the Surge and Detroit become human. Wait scratch that last 1. I booted it up last night, even if I didn't really play it.
Including retro systems, 20,000 plus.

I have four unfinished games:
- Heroes of Hammerwatch
- Treasure Adventure World
- Train Valley 1
- Train Valley 2

I'm playing the first three games so technically my backlog is only one game - Train Valley 2 - which I probably won't start playing earlier than several months after finishing the first one.
My backlog is full of stuff I don't actually want to play and will probably never get around to. Console style action games, strategy games and modern point and click adventure games. I like these genres so-so and play one here and there, but I vastly prefer other stuff and have limited time, so I never get around to them. I don't see this changing.

Stuff I actually like and play often... RPGs, singleplayer FPS games, stealth games... I do a pretty good job of keeping up with and finishing. My current backlog for these games I actually play would be just a handful from each genre, like these:

Prey (2017)
Thief (2014)
Metal Gear Solid V
Pillars of Eternity 2
Pathfinder: Kingmaker
Underrail

Leroux: I imagine there are hoarders among people who download pirated copies of games as well, people who just download everything they can just because they can, without really playing everything they downloaded, acting out of similar impulses as the people who buy everything just because it's cheap. Not to compare actual customers with freeloaders and leechers or to contradict your valid point about treating customers right, with which I sympathize; just saying that, that the connections you see and conclusions you draw are not necessarily as clear as it may seem at first glance.
Before GOG came along I hoarded a ton of old "abandonware" games no one sold anymore. I still do, but only the ones GOG/etc don't sell.

falloutttt: well said, comrade! i'll drink to that!

sorry for a random question, but your avatar, what movie/game is it from ? it kind of reminds me of something, but i can't seems to remember... :P

StarChan: Hi, somebody in the 'what does the avatar above you remind you of' thread said it looked like 'the lady from Ghostbusters 2'. It isn't from any film or game though, it's merely a portrait I found (of noone in paticular) that resemble me to some extent. (Yup I wear glasses etc.)

I had another, blue-haired one earlier. That felt kind of weird.
You should give it to fairfox.....she likes blue haired avatars.

Thief 2014 is pretty good for a new thief game...I would recommend it as I finished it and enjoyed it and the various environments/missions(Asylum is one of my favorites of the missions).

It looks better than people say it is. With these old classics I think people are very quick to write-off sequels or reboots. Could probably easily play it in 4k now too. I'll probably give it a go soon.

True about people writing stuff off sometimes due to it being new...happens with each new generation.

As for the game, some tips:

Be sure to always go through the old areas of the hubs every time you finish a major mission as the stuff people say in some areas changes over time.

Also you need gear to get into some areas so i'd recommend getting the cutter(for cutting paintings and wire traps) and bolt turner tool(for vents to get in some secret areas and bypass some tough spots) before doing most minor/major missions.

And look for stuff in the hub areas which needs rope arrows/bolt tool/cutters/etc as that is fun as well.
