Since my post was downvoted by the forum's necro police ( link ) i had to create this thread .

So why is this game available on Steam and not in here ?

Because Square Enix looooooooove their drm.
Great game. I love it, the game before it and Absolution. I just bought the new one on Steam, looking forward to playing it.

adamhm: That would be a question that's best directed towards Square Enix. You can find their postal addresses on their website: https://www.square-enix.com/
The owner of the Hitman franchise is Io-Interactive A/S not Square Enix .

Thankfully, I have a retail version of Blood Money that's DRM-free (no disc checks or anything). But yeah, Squeenix's (or IOI's) continued reluctance to release this game - or Mini Ninjas or the Kane and Lynch series, for that matter - here is quite bothersome.

I stand corrected... so, ask them about it instead then :p Although knowing what the bigger publishers/developers are like (and I've sent letters & emails to a lot of them trying to get more GOG releases) you'll likely never hear anything back :/

Already did . I'm waiting for their reply .
Yesterday, I installed the latest (episodic) Hitman on my computer.

I realised this computer is old. Second game (after Just Cause 3) that stutters uncomfortably on average settings. Uninstalled. Postponed to a very undefined future.

And now this thread reminds me that I still have Blood Money to try out.

Don't pretend you don't know that it's too niche.

Buy Project Warlock instead of it. It's definitely better than any Hitman.

Square Enix gets (justifiably) dumped on for a lot of things, but at least they didn't keep the Hitman franchise clapped in irons when they realized that IOI wasn't meeting their quota of printing them money on demand.

Also, it's the best Hitman game... so, of course, paradoxically it'll be a cold day in hell before it ever comes to GOG. Doesn't mean I don't have my skates at the ready.
I think it will be here soonish. Blood Money was an Xbox GwG title last month, and I've noticed in the past that games often turn up on GOG soon after that happens...it's sort of like the IP holder has decided the game is pretty much give away material now, so put it on GwG and send it to GOG for some pocket change.

Don't worry about it, nothing runs Just Cause 3 without stuttering. It's all those EXPLOSIONS. Someday in the distant future though, it is said that even an average person will have a machine with a CPU capable playing JC3 at a locked 60fps. It's still some ways off though.

Well Squeenix is still the publisher of the Hitman games here on GOG, presumably because of contractual issues.

Same here, it's annoying how badly that game runs.

A few months ago I reinstalled Blood Money but the movement was more stiff than I recalled. The atmosphere is great though, the options, the less arcady feeling than Absolution.

Didn't IO Interactive buy out the rights recently or is it only for the reboot? We really need Blood Money here.
