It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I used to use some basic, web-browser Hide IP, in order to visit some webpages that previous government a$$holes shut down in "Other".

Now that i need to revisit it, i get that nasty message in local language of "other", with the relative notification.

Is that the case elsewhere, too? I want to find myself some nice, rare books that no bookstore has and i cannot get down to business! What gives? Are there any other Hide IP services/means that still work?

I initially suspected it's a Google only thing (lately that gives trouble and even blacklists legit webpages/results), but Internet Explorer as well, does the exact same thing.

Do you want to download "open source" books or illegally download books? How does that relate to a visible IP? Or is this about online physical books stores that have regional restrictions?
Anyway, a good VPN subscription solves all your IP problems.

Thanks. I wanted to search for and get myself, some really rare books, that somebody can only find in "certain" sites and pretty much, almost nowhere else. The kind of which even if you wanted to buy, no vendor or retailer has, or would bother searching for and placing orders. Some examples: Scanned books from certain schools or institutions, that don't circulate in the market at all (school-exclusives), "forbidden" books, books that have never been reprinted, foreign books translated on a whim by chance and stuff like that.

Use a VPN or try accessing your site with Tor.

Are you talking about that website called "Lib***" (can't post the full name in case it breaks the forum rules)? I can still access it from where I am.

If you want to hide your internet activity, a VPN actually does that. When you just hide your IP, your internet provider still knows where you've been and keeps logs of it.

No, not that one. Some of the webpages that they shut down in my place, roughly one year ago. Still, thanks a lot for letting me know. Might as well check up on that one which you mentioned, for supplementary stuff! Be well and stay safe!

Yeah, i know, i used to utilize a free, web-browser based, hide-ip service, up until recently and it worked. As for others knowing where i am and whatever it is that i am doing, i have no problem at all, since it won't be either the first, or the last time. But as they say: "the abyss gazes back"! ^_^

Thanks for the suggestion, methings it is high time to seek a subscribed service for hiding IP. Lucky coincidence too, since i was considering to get an antivirus live protection purchase, as well. Might just kill two birds with one stone!

Admit it, you're looking for anarchist cookbook and foreign student sex-stories magazines from the 70s and 80s? :P

How can you hide the ip when the server has to know where to send the data?
