Guys, i need some help. As the title says i cant launch or uninstall GOG galaxy (tried to uninstall to reinstall) Im on Windows 10, the process is constantly in my processes and i cant kill the process - so it won't let me uninstall the client.

I'm really not sure what to do...

Click start, type "services", open the desktop app it will find. Find the two Galaxy services, stop them if they are running, and in their properties set the startup type to "disabled". This should stop the services and prevent them from running. You should then be able to uninstall the client, assuming you are using the uninstall option and not just deleting the files/folders.
If this doesn't help, post again, we'll continue the troubleshooting.
Hey JMich, thanks for the reply man! Ok, i have managed to remove it thankfully! It might be an OS bug but the process couldn't be killed so i couldn't uninstall (from either add or remove or say using ccleaners tool) What i did was... Pulled all the files from prog files (apart form one that was in use - a tmp file) restarted so the process couldnt start, then i dumped the files back into prog files/galaxy, then uninstalling worked... thank god!

So i hope this helps anyone with this problem, and thanks again JMich... Now i think i might just download my games for now the old skool way through the site for now... i thought it was strange last night seeing the galaxy client constantly running!

Do delete the files from ProgramData\GOG.com as well, will help prevent any potential issues should you reinstall Galaxy later on. The ProgramData folder is a hidden one, so either type the address or show hidden files and folders on your computer.
Hey Snowkatt, is all good! I've had galaxy on my rig since it came out and only just came across this issue (I just upgraded to w10 yesterday) Im fine with downloading it through my browser ;) Just a pain as ive got to reinstall all my games i wish to play!

Galaxy installation should have no bearing on currently installed games. So if you had the games installed through Galaxy and uninstalled Galaxy, the games should still be there.
Ah its cool, i only started one download yesterday - wanted to reply the witcher 1 and only got about 5% into the dl before exiting it! Have so many things i need to get back on my rig now so was rushing around downloading loads of things ;)

Thanks again though, i was worried it wasn't going to be as easy as what i tried (after the no sorry you can't do that from windows)
