This is my first time posting on the forums. Nice to meet you all. I'm afraid that Steam discussions has become incredibly toxic and depressing. It's not much fun on there anymore. The forums here seem to be nice and chill. I hope to post gaming topics in the future. c:

Welcome, I've heard a lot of the same about Steam discussions through other channels.

Same I at best just look to the Steam game discussions for game fixs or answers to things ,so wonder what has gone on there Welcome I usually anymore just sorta ..''lurk'' here in the forums and such with at times bursts of activity

First: Welcome! Hope you enjoy the discussions on this forum. :)

Second: Being Toxic is part of human nature and behaviour, so where there are humans, there will be toxicity.
When there's more people, we will find more toxicity opportunities. Steam Discussions are so toxic because they have tons of people that are used to the internet generation and way of communicating.

Although GOG Forums have (it seems) older people, thus, more experienced people with real life communication, sometimes we also have our "toxicities" and bad behaviours here and there. I think we are mature enough to let it down though, after some moderator comes and sets off the heat.

Avoid political topics and I think you're safe :P

It does happen here from time to time as well. And unfortunately moderation is sporadic and sometimes inconsistent here. But welcome nonetheless.

Welcome! GOG forums are truly the chilliest forums anywhere. People come here to relax and have fun and watch good movies with good friends, and eat popcorn (salty, not caramel popcorn yuck).

I myself like good games. Bad games, ummm not so much. Not a fan.
