It's good to be here. This is my first post.

I got a new laptop. It's an Acer Predator: i7 CPU @ 3.1GHz with 8 cores & 32GB DDR4, 3840x2160 display, SSD RAID-0, and NVIDIA GTX 980M with 1536 cores & 8GB GDDR5. It probably won't be obsolete for a few years.

My desire is games that will use as much of the Predator horsepower as possible.

I like adventure-puzzle games like Myst -- I have Real Myst Masterpiece -- and I like space shooters like Descent. The adventure-puzzle games would need to handle Ultra HD, but for the shooters, I have particular wants.

I'd like to find a space shooter that, unlike Descent, is just shooting... no provisions, no inventory, no stopping. Left hand would be WASD for propulsion/slide, right hand would be mouse for point-and-click looking & shooting.

Also, I have a Gravis Xterminator joystick/controller. It would be terrific if I could use it. I tried it with Descent 3, but It didn't fully function. ...Any suggestions?
