Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has been updated to include VR support on GOG.COM. Owners of the main game can find it as a separate entry in their library, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice VR.

Since its release, Hellblade has amassed an impressive amount of accolades and praise from players and critics alike. It's well deserved too - this is easily one of the most immersive, emotionally affecting games to come out in recent years. Now you have the chance to experience Senua's chilling journey in VR, provided you have the right equipment ( = nerves of steel and an HTC Vive or Oculus Rift kit).

kmanitou: Do I have to get the game for Steam to be able to use the Acer headset with it?
Currently the game supports the Oculus Rift, and the Vive through SteamVR (which is their OpenVR implementation). WMR does have a way to play SteamVR games with WMR.

So, you would have to install SteamVR and set things up proper, and it is possible it can work with your WMR headset, but there are no guarantees, your mileage may vary.
Great news. I feared it would remain a steam exclusive.
Thank you, Ninja Theory.

Bigs: I suppose this is great for all of the 3 people that have a Vive or Rift... :P
It also works with Windows Mixed Reality headsets as well.
I really appreciate Ninja Theory giving this out for free. Seeing publishers do this nowadays is not as common as I think it should be. Thanks a lot!
Just wow.
The difference between playing this on a regular screen and actually BEING THERE with Senua, amazing.
Since it's rather taxing to keep games running at acceptable fps for vr I don't see EVERYONE doing this with their flatscreen games but it does work as a proof of concept, you COULD do vr&non-vr with only the control scheme differing between the display modes.
Well played Ninja Theory

CommanderRaven: For those that don't enjoy VR, or think it's a joke, you haven't sat down and tried it.
Count me as one of the exceptions, then :) I've tried both the Vive and the Rift many times, tried puzzle games, adventures, shooters, simulators, "walking simulators"… and never really liked it. I kept trying, thinking that I might "get it" at some point, but today I don't believe it will happen anymore. If I at least liked the game, I usually just end up thinking that I'd really enjoy that a lot more if I would be able to play it on a regular screen (which sadly is not always allowed by the developers).

Personally, I know enough people who've had the same underwhelmed reaction, that I don't believe the VR thing will take. Not as a home thing, anyway – I could see it working out as a social activity, in public VR arcades built for the purpose, with a lot of free space to move around and multiplayer interaction. That kind of setup was the only place where I felt that VR really added something unique.
