Hi, guys. Just wanted to make a small update about Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients since gog pushed the old thread in to the archive.

Longbowgames just released a game trailer for the games summer release. Basically even with the failed kickstarter the devs managed to get the game done.

More data about the release + the new game website will be uplodaded next week.

Thanks for the information, looks interesting.
Glad to see that Longbow didn't abandon the game. And it would be a shame since Hegemony mechanics are pretty good and the setting is very interesting.

Also they are now in contact with gog about the Hegemony III release here which is good news.

Awesome news, I really hope this will make them more exposure in the main DRM-free audience, while they always were DRM-free supporters since the beginning.

Small update:

Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients is going in to beta phase so anybody who has a Steam account can apply to be part of it.

So if you are interested send an email to: rob@longbowgames.com

Include your steam user name, machine specs (dxdiag probably best), gaming history or whatever you think is important for a playtester.

Small update:

The game is now set for release on Steam on 25th of August. Gog release will not happen yet since nobody at gog responsible for handling new game releases has responded to Longbows multiple contact emails and game submission requests yet. Eitherway if the game gets released here per Longbows explanation it will be a lot later.

The game will be available for DRM free purchase from their web site though will it not? I have brought Rome and expansion packs from there (although haven't got round to playing them).
Shame their not on GOG, but seems to be quite normal now.

Yeah, I do have both games from their store but it seems such a loss for them not to be here. Im not sure though when they will do the drm-free release in their store. All they were talking about was the Steam release and gog release at the moment.
Game is going to be released Tuesday 25th on Steam and is at the moment waiting for gog.com evaluation after succesfful contact. Hope there will be some good news soon about gog release. Will update upon receiving positive confirmation from Longbowgames.

Happy to hear that. I only played the first game but i really liked it :).
Does that mean they want to release only the third one here or also the first and the second game?

At this point they confirmed the release of the third game here for now (off course after gog allows the release). Will ask them next time when I email them about it.

Thank you. Would be great to have them here as well in case the third one gets released here.
Got confirmation today from the developer that Hegemony games won't be coming to gog in the future since they were branded with the "too niche" stamp. The first two games are available drm-free in the dev store. At this point Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients won't be getting a drm-free release in the dev store and will be only available on Steam. So if you wan't to see Hegemony series games drm-free here at some point vote for them:

Vote here:
- Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients
- Hegemony Rome: Rise of Caesar
- Hegemony Gold: Wars of Ancient Greece

For those who don't know the series here is some gameplay of the last game:
