I'm a new gog user and I accidentally bought The Witcher 3 because I thought it was a steam key (like I said i'm new).
The refund guide was pretty straight forward and I submitted a refund ticket. My question is: Do the tickets get noticed?
From what I've heard the customer support is pretty bad and the tickets take forever to get resolved. Is there anything I can do to get my money back?

Yes, the tickets get noticed. After 12 years and 600 + games, I've asked for refunds on maybe 30. Every request was honored, even when it was outside the refund "window" if I had a good reason. GOG customer service is slower than it used to be, but they still honor their Terms Of Service. If you haven't gotten your refund in a week, then I'd be worried.

You'll get your money back. What you meant to ask is if you can get it back faster. The moment you submitted your refund request, you should've received an automated confirmation. If you don't get a follow-up message within 2 weeks, you can
1. Edit your privacy settings to allow chat messages from everyone,
2. Send a message with your support ticket number to ponczo_.

Depending on the payment method, once the refund is issued, it may take up to 30 days to receive the funds.
Opening additional support tickets isn't going to help and would probably make things worse.
If you message staff without waiting, you'll either get ignored or told to be patient. I actually don't know for sure that even 2 weeks is enough waiting time before resorting to contacting staff directly.

Tickets eventually get dealt with, but support is slow.

If for any reason the refund doesn't come through though, reconsider keeping the GOG one. You just bought a version which can be installed without a client (using downloadable offline installers), mate. I don't get why you'd want it on Steam rather than keeping control to yourself, but of course that's your choice.

So let me get this straight, you created an account just to buy a game that have the same discount that Steam? And you don't know that this is a store that sell it's own games, but you know how to use the forum and don't have a problem to submit a refound ticket? Sorry, but this sounds really wierd to me, you will get the refound, support always respond, but you should cancel it, you get the same game here that you get on Steam.

I thought the site sold steam keys and figuring out how to submit a refund a use the forums doesn't really require a lot of brain power lol

It was a pretty close call though...

Especially considering there is no mention of Steam or keys in the same sentence most anywhere in the store part of this site...
