July 1st?

Is that confirmed or just a placeholder?
Just wanted to let you guys know that there's a rather detailed preview in the current issue of the Polish gaming mag CD-Action. I haven't bought the issue yet but I've read excerpts. According to the article the gameplay is really good and solid (so screw the nay-sayers). The article also addresses all the myths concerning the developers' extremist backgrounds and stuff. I'll post more information once I've read the whole article.

Badum tsh. Totally forgot about this thread, especially because I had no time to pick up the issue for a couple of days after posting. Eventually I got it and read the whole article but I've already forgotten most of it. :P All I can say now is that the gameplay is certainly supposed to bechallenging, not just mindless slaughter of harmless civilians. Apparently it's quite easy to get killed. The author also praised the diversity of the locations which also play very differently. He also revealed the healing system which is quite messed up. You heal by killing people which means that often you will barely survive an encounter and then walk around executing the heavily wounded survivors and then be magically all healed up. He also noted that the game was technically in a pretty bad state at the time, don't know how much that has changed since then. Oh and it seems that there will indeed not be some big plot that justifies any of this, just this mass murderer with growing ambitions as the game goes on. Also the team apparently mostly consists of people who previously worked at Farm 51 who made NecroVision and Deadfall Adventures. That's all I remember right now.

Some. In Poland most mags disappeared a couple of years ago with only one of them surviving but I consider this one really great, I even imported it when I still lived in Germany, that's how much I loved their reviews and other articles. Oddly enough also a new mag appeared here recently, that was quite shocking.

Well I am gonna give an update on this game:

So I contacted the Destructive Creations Support asking if I can pre-order and get a GoG key instead of a Steam one.
This was the answer

''Hello,

For now game will be only available at Steam and Desura. We think about GoG,
but we haven't decided yet. So the Steam key will not work on GoG now.

Best,
DC Team''

That's... disappointing. And Desura link is not even tagged as DRM-FREE so I suppose there's the reason.

Well, there are many things I'd be willing to do for the sake of fighting censorship, but getting DRM shoved down my throat is not one of them.

Well you can always e-mail them and ask them to release it on GoG...
I bet it they receive a high amount of requests they will reconsider.

I honestly am disappointed they are not releasing it here.

You and me both.
Wazzup guys?! Seems like a new gameplay trailer has been released. The "finishing moves" are still boring but the isometric part of the game seems really interesting and advanced technically. 1st June release confirmed.
