NWN_babayaga: I want that game and I will buy it wherever it is available. If some hippys pee their pants because there is a game that is everything against their moral compass the better for me. And ungh canibal holocaust was realy disgusting with that animal cruelty... that was REAL...the rest was fake but still hit a nerve back then!

But we are talking about pixels. Games might look somewhat realistic today.... still PIXELS!

And it shows me again that eastern european devs. arent that brainwashed yet with this hippy nonsense. I hope more devs just crush all the hippy influence and do offensive stuff again. I dont mind it!
Maybe they wanted to tell the hippys just F*** you and cry me some river. We dont give a damn about you hippys! They dont like to make the happy hippys happy :D

AND if it is moddable to some degree... i know what kind of new skins I will do... gamergate haters gave me a lot of variety of ideas to start with!

Honest question:

Would there have been such a S**tstorm about Hatred if it was a female on a rampage rather than a guy?
Or would it have been different people getting their blood boiling over it?

Ah, I think I know what you are talking about. The "positive" review happened before the sex or "favors".

So this ethics campaign is apparently about woman game devs sleeping with male game journalists who then give them good reviews, mostly based on an example that never happened in the way they claim. Seems dubious at best.

I'm interested in ethics in games journalism too but more the idea that major game studios are paying youtube commentators/reviewers/journalists money to promote their games rather than a disgruntled ex-boyfriend of a game dev trying to get back at that person and then people piling their own views into that argument.

It would be interesting to see how this game is reviewed and whether it lives up to the contrived hype/controversy. Through GOG i finally managed to play Postal and Postal 2 and while kind of amusing the gameplay is atrocious.

I wonder if it would be worse. Something like:

"We ask for strong female characters and you give us a psychopath who murders for no reason! In games where the man is a protagonist he is saving peoples, doing good, etc, now we have a female protagonist who just kills innocent people in terrible circumstances! Why can't she use her brains to outsmart people, etc, etc."
