I don't like it either and I've been on GOG's ass about it since I joined here.
Still it will take a long time until you can't post links anymore :-D.

Btw. got something fitting? I thought something along the lines of "I love pretty girls, no matter if they're dumb" would be fitting right now.

OneFiercePuppy: That video really does make it clearer why I hear so much resistance to my assertion that the game can look almost exactly as good as the pre-release trailers. The difference between 1080p and UHD is huge. It really does look a tremendous lot better at four times the resolution.

Perhaps in the future I should make a bigger deal of that. "Four times the pixels, plus better anti-aliasing, makes a big difference, guys." I just assumed that would be a given. :/
yh and 4k magically improve the texture quality plus add all the effects that were taking out of the game which you are clearly avoiding, btw you know the video I linked was at 1080p that and the first 3 trailers of the game?, and yet they look way better than whatever youre seeing at 4k, if you clearly think the games comes close to the earlier trailers then youre just a troll and arnt fooling anyone

Hey, I don't like a lot of his ideas either but being an asshole shouldn't restrict you from posting links. That was put in there to prevent spam bots, not pricks.

I can be just an annoying as he is and I can still post links.

Fenixp: Absolutely, especially the difference in distant land has to be tremendous, if CDP made it scale well. I wish I had your PC, the best I can hope for is a new GTX 970.

Fenixp: I got 'aspik' with bread. It's great, the one I'm currently eating is basically two pieces of very nice ham rolled around horseradish with bits of eggs, all of that preserved in sour jelly. It tastes great.

DCT: no it still means that. Just there definition of a Social Justice warrior is the same as a Social Justice Warriors definition of a racists or whatever or a extremist feminists definition of a "misogynist" i.e. someone who doesn't agree with them.
At least no one has resorted to "check your privilege" yet

Honestly though, I have to think that these guys are just attempting to troll. Poor "hey I just discovered 4 chan" level trolling, but trolling none the less. Or at least two of them are since they often try and poorly bait people and if they don't bite they dissapear and come back when they think they found a new target.

I don't understand how anyone seeing GOG saying no to games isn't a problem
Sadly there # of games I've liked or wanted see DRM-free and I would get replys like "we asked but they said no"

It makes me more and more sad GOG wants keep doing this

Where can a good old game go when GOG doesn't want it?

I still want someone from GOG to talk about this why "we can't" ?

/sigh Sure, I'll bite.

Anti-aliasing improves perceived texture quality. The effects are still there, though if you're playing on something old and feeble, perhaps they get scaled down to nothing. I assure you, nothing you linked looks "way better" than what I'm seeing at 4k, except the post-processed, not-in-engine stuff, which of course looks different. If you're in Chattanooga, come on by and have a look yourself. =)

I mean, really. Do you watch the intro cinematics for Blizzard games and then freak out about the in-engine stuff looks worse? That's missing the point entirely.

Boycotting GOG will save me some money too. :) In fact, boycotting GOG will save me a lot of money. Then all that money will go to Steam. And I highly doubt you would of purchased Hatred. You strike me more as the kind of person who plays Hello Kitty Online 24/7.
