I notice some mixed reviews. The game is a puzzle game that features a red caped mysterious protagonist
Looks very neat! :)

I only played a part of it, but what I saw, I liked very much. It's definitly on my TODO list.

Made by Romanian developers Alien Pixel Studios. I can only say that I agree. It's on my extended wishlist. I was about to nominate you for the copy available in the community giveaway, but it was just requested by someone else.
Edit: Request was rejected, so I just nominated you.

I've talked to the lead dev and he seemed very passionate and enthusiastic about the game. I can tell you a lot of love went into it, and, for a puzzle-platformer, it turned out rather well.

I'm not much into platformers, so may not be the best judge - but there is a GOG demo for it if you'd like to try it out first.

Thank you for all the input my gog friends!

I'm watching some gameplay of it and I really like the portal/goggle vision for changing the environment
This bubble vision that can be activated to change the environment and allow the character to advance
What a neat idea for a gameplay concept!
I wonder if there's a term for this mechanism. I vaguely remember playing some games like this

Ah I just missed your post. Thank you for the suggestion!

Edit: Aww I can't mark multiple people as the solution.

After reviewing some gameplay, the Romanian developer definitely did an outstanding job with the graphics!

I wonder what they used as their inspiration. If they used their surroundings to inspire such excellent pieces of art,
Romania must be a beautiful place!

The protagonist is undeniably reminiscent of the black mages from Final Fantasy.

There are some nice parts. Years back, I had A photo from your country thread going, if anyone's curious.

Or Orko from He-Man the Masters of the Universe...

I think he's very generic. Cute, nicely animated, but really nothing out of the ordinary. He IS of course inspired by mages and wizards, but the source ... I would not dare to name a specific one. Even the mages in Cat Quests remind me of that little fella.

Edit: But Orko is a good reference, there may have been mages in pixelated home computer games from that time, but he was one of the first showing this design style in details.

I finished the game 100% back then. It is a great game with some good lore as well ... however if you want to 100% it (which is optional) there are some pretty challenging platforming sections you'd have to solve. I even corrected the German localisation for the game because I liked it so much ... unfortunately these corrections will never make it into the game since the devs have abandoned the game because of poor sales. It is a pity that the game did not sell better and thinking back how much fun I had playing it and how much I enjoyed the different gameplay aspects they inserted in it I totally fail to understand this. This is actually a game I am pretty sure that I will replay some day.

Btw: The demo is pretty much the beginning of the full game. In the final game they improved some parts of it a bit but other than that is is basically what you get. Keep in mind that there are a lot of different portals in the full game - each more creative than the last one.

Wow is that a face of someone special in Romania? That reminds me of USA's Mount Rushmore!
Besides the face, the lush green terrain makes me want to go exploring in the mountains!

Rock sculpture of Decebalus - Wikipedia. He was the last Dacian king. He ended up taking his own life rather than allowing the Romans to capture him. He's regarded as a national hero, due to his fight for independence in spite of overwhelming odds.
