Probably read only a couple short pieces of his works over the years. Thought I'd mention his passing, though, as one of those works is presented in game form as "I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream"

I'll be honest. Mouthless is not a very fun time. While it might be one of his most infamous works, I'd like to suggest to everyone to read some of his other works unless you want to be rather sad.

I have read quite a lot. I like him. I have a HUGE book of his collected works which I'm very happy to own. And just last week I was listening to him read aloud some of Ursula K. Leguin's work.

Um... almost all of his work will make you rather sad.

I recommend "Repent, Harlequin!" Said The Tick-Tock Man

What a sad news :(

I played the game based on his story and I read it (which came with the purchase of the game), and I liked both of them :(
Oh well everyone's death is inevitable.

Such is life.

His "A Boy and his Dog" is the ultimate bros before hoes story, or mutts before sluts in this case. :-)
My respects.
Elllison was a lamdmark speculative scifi writer. My favorite story, read & reread, was the short story:

Hope he did not suffer in passing and beleived in the afterlife of the soul.

He wrote great stories, also wrote for The Outer Limits, Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, and other tv series. etc.
The Terminator movie acknowledged his work https://electricliterature.com/was-1984s-the-terminator-a-harlan-ellison-rip-off-27f52272af11?gi=759c49f15de0

He was pugnacious and started writing because he was pissed that a college professor told him he had no talent for it:

...Sometimes getting PO'd is what it takes to discover such things. Tell someone they cant do something.

He got fired up and angry at injustice and lack of ethics.
He did voice acting on a computer game: which one?
Anyway, prolific writer and opinionated with head full of facts... I think he done great.

I have been watching DVD's of Babylon 5 the last month (I never got to see it back in the day, where as Star Trek gets re-runs) and he was one of the technical consultants/writers.
