Hand of Fate is a unique mixture of deck-building card game, Choose Your Own Adventure book, and Arkham style 3D action brawler combat. No other game that I know does the same combination of elements, but as others have suggested, there are several popular games in each of the individual categories.
And I agree with JackWhite1328, Inscryption seems like the one that most obviously took inspiration from Hand of Fate regarding the table setup and atmosphere (and then combined it with elements from Slay the Spire), but the core gameplay beneath the hip frame is quite different from the games mentioned above. Despite the deck-building mechanics, it felt more like a simple tactical board game to me when I tried the demo, not so much like videogame combat. I mean in the sense of a simplified chess or so - make one wrong move and you're as good as screwed already.
Anyway, in addition to Slay the Spire, Monster Train, and Inscryption, you could also check out Ring of Pain and Dicey Dungeons, or in case you would actually like the Choose Your Own Adventure part on its own as well, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain (this one also combines CYOA with simple tactical board game combat that feels like a puzzle) or Sorcery! 1-4 (sadly, those five CYOA games are not available on GOG though).
There are several more rogue-lite card games but of mixed quality (e.g. Nowhere Prophet, Deep Sky Derelicts, Neoverse, Banners of Ruin etc. etc.). It's a whole genre now.
(Btw, I think I liked Hand of Fate better than the sequel; can't precisely tell you why because it's been some time since I last played them, but they feel a bit different.)
