So I went away for a while my mom lives in sweden I myself in the netherlands when I came home my dad had passed away so there was that when things finally started going to normall again I decided to load up some gwent.

Password incorrect ...Password incorrect. okay let me reset the password maybe I forgot it ...Username doesnt excist.
Okay send a ticket to support saying I think someone has taken over my account.

Within a day or so support located my account and gave it back to me (the original owner)

After 2 days of playing the exact same thing again so I contact support again (This was during the tournament on saturday)

After 5 days I get an email saying my account was suspended indefinitely,
as a result of your breach of both the GWENT and GOG.com User
Agreements, which explicitly forbid selling and sharing user accounts.

According to them the person (I) sold it to showed proof of him obtaining the account through purchase with the seller showing my gamertag and everything.

What is weird is first of I wasnt even in the country when this happened I havent been on both the game and discord in ages people in the gwent channel can vouch for this since when I finally did come back on the first thing they said was look who came back from the dead (sort of a bad joke after your dads funeral but they didnt know that)

Now since it says Indefinitely and not permanent how do I fix this whats the best thing I can do. Like i told support I bought 291 kegs before I left ..why the hell would I even consider to sell something I invest so much time and money in. I contacted the guy who claims he bought the account but of course he is not replying at all and I dont want to wait around for ghosts

Wow, sorry to hear that. You need to have some proofs. Maybe you can prove that you were traveling while someone else accessed your account. Anyway it will be hard. Were you using two factor authentication? Did the other guy hack your email? Or how did he gain access in the first place?
If he can show proof of purchase then Gog should just ask him for that as he is also in breach of the terms of buying and selling accounts, hence his access should be removed and payment details should be given to Gog who can then follow up with the necessary authority to track down fraudulent activity. This is the way things should happen, how was n all likelihood they will just close the account and leave it at that as authorities aren't interested, I mean just look at g2a!
Fraud only gets followed up if their are political motivations such as burlisconi.
You have found out why drm free non account tied software which you can backup offline is so very important though.
I was dumb enough to turn the 2 factor auth off. I use 2 laptops and 2 computers (yea yea i know overkill) but EVERY time i logged on i had to fetch a code from my mailbox.
Another thing I know this was dumb as well using the same passwords for connected accounts Hotmail, GoG etc.

Of course now too late I swapped out passwords no problem.

Like I said I tried getting contact with the guy that was using my account till now no answer I had purchased 291 kegs in totall people on discord tell me to just keep playing on my f2p account but I dont want to be punished for something I did not do.

Also I upgraded my Advanced systemcare to a paid license fixed 1505 privacy issues dont know if that means anything.

All in short I dont know who this person is I never spoke to this person I was even kind enough to offer him his money if he was infact duped like I am but no response.

Just to add, as you should still get his access removed also. You should have 2factor on, if you don't want the access key thing each time, and your on a computer only you use, set https:/gog.com in your cookies exempt rules, I.e. So Gog can store cookies on your machine, that way you don't get that message each time, but anyone else will. I know its a bit late now.
Same as with the other bits, always use a totally random, unique set of characters different from any other website, and have multiple emails for various different accounts. I know its a drag, noone wants to hear about it, but the internet is the worst cesspit ever invented, and that's jus the big businesses on here (google, apple, m$ etc.)
I was kind of curious about this so called prove of purchase though.

Since I had to do a report about internet security during my IT course on college I know how easy it is to just forge a piece of a text on anything and make it look legit.

Like I said before I replied to GoG what needs to be done to regain acces cause after paying nearly 300 bucks if not more on Kegs I am not planning on doing that again.

Whats even more weird is that something like this happened before when I played TES:Legends allthough in that case someone gained acces spend nearly 1800 on packs and left the account alone. The 1800 however never got paid since my bank never had those funds so that account got closed wiped and given back to me removing every progress I had made.

Something tells me I am dealing with the same person and when I scout my mailbox and look at the email it was changed to and google it. It seems to belong to a person thats on a gay porn website (not judging) with a picture of himself with a carrot up his A-Hole so how can I even take his claims serious.....

This may be the reference to "exploiting security holes".
If you use wifi, make sure your routers are up-to-date and secured with high entropy WPA2.
Backup data on all machines, then disconnect them one by one from network.
Perform full reset on each machine (handheld, pc etc). Then connect them one-by-one to network and update them to latest state and restore config.
Do not trust any machine on local network until it has been reseted software-wise.
Consider any binary files on local system to be infected. This should eliminate backdoors.

Use some kind of password manager, if you can't remember the password, where passwords are stored LOCALLY in encrypted form and slowly reset all passwords on your accounts, including recovery phrases and similar.

Only then contact GOG to prove your identity and get the account back. It makes little sense to unblock you, if your machines or network is insecure.

Thats hell of a work...

To check password strength, the word is entropy and you can test it here. Ofc every resource must have a different password. Also, do not login on untrusted machines.

My password is now 12 letters mixed capitol and normal 4 numbers and a special sign.

My network company installed a new modem in my house added some extra security also adviced me to install some additional (paid license) scanners on my computers which seem to help a lot till now.

If I use the 1505 security holes fixed as an example. But yea I understand what you are getting at.
But like I said anything to get my account back I worked hard and paid a lot to get it where it was before the suspension.

Now it feels like I am being punished for being punished ...

I don't know about extra scanners or security, I use Linux and never needed those. As for the rest, may I ask you to reread my post again? Specifically the router must be updated to latest revision and network settings correct.

As to the password, the word is "entropy" friend and I have put a link to check, its good when it says "very strong" and please use different passwords for all different accounts. If you have many, find a good password manager. It does not have to cost anything, ideally it should be an opensource application with long development time. Just pay attention to store your password base not in default place.

And clean your systems. The "xxxx" problems fixed is most certainly fake and show off, unless you've managed to download every possible drive-by toolbar. I doubt that you got keylogger installed (if you are windows user), but the only correct way to make sure its malware-free is - perform a clean reinstall. However, I expect you are capable of it, if not - you'll need to hire or find someone to advice you or vent your systems.
Just did a clean install of windows ..so far no drops in connection what so ever :) computer also performs a whole lot faster !

Yea I figured the 1505 would be nothing more but a number i remember a friend of mine back in the day after spending half an hour on the internet not running any protection according to that scanner he had a total 240 virusses ... haha BUT ! when i opened Advanced systemcare and go to optimize it said there were 13 toolbars active I saw only one though Now after reinstalling windows completely it says 0
@Thread: Ahh the joys of online-DRM and microtransactions, we'll see more of that around here.

"Good old Games" would have sold this game instead:

Your account was indeed suspended due to a suspected breach of both the GWENT and the GOG.com User Agreements. However, our Support team is still looking into this issue, and therefore it would be much appreciated if you could keep the conversation between our Support team and yourself, and raise any concerns or questions you might have directly to the Support team. Thanks!

The person who stole your account sold it. I fully believe the guy bought it, just not from you. Not knowing it is illegal to buy accounts (or at least against the ToS) he went to GOG with a complaint when the access to account he "legitimately" purchased (in his understanding) was removed. GOG, seeing that the account was sold decided to act.
