That's the blight of this world, ladies and gentlemen. The model consumer. Someone who won't let anything get in the way of his having fun.
If I sound angry and bitter, but well... that's becuase I am. It is thanks people who think like that, can't deny themselves some game and play another one whose publishers aren't screwing people over, that I can no longer walk into a store and take a game off a shelf and buy that, and see my collection grow, add another box to my own shelf, becuase they are all locked with Steam, Origin, Uplay or some other crap. An important part of my hobby died, because haven forbid they don't get the new shiny toy right now. And eventually all DRM-free gaming will die, again, thanks to them.
Going into other domains, and similar to the line Breja quoted, it does my head in how scarily little people care about their own privacy, and the outlandish practices of not only mass-spying states like the US and UK, but the big corporations out there like facebook, google, apple and microsoft. Don't for one tiny second believe their 'services' and applications are free.
Unfortunately not enough people care about stuff like that, and sign up and sign away their privacy at the drop of a hat. In short, we get what we deserve. If people cared, policies and practices like the above wouldn't exist, at least not as wideranging as is the case today.

I have different priorities and values than you do, clearly. But I am fine the way I am. I do vote with my wallet, just not for the same things you do.

My girlfriend got me the full Stargate SG1 box set for my birthday a few weeks back and it's great but damn changing disks every few episodes is a pain in this ass that I do not miss.
Or changing the CD in the car when you get tired of what you're listening to, as opposed to my phone or laptop where I have literally hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of music ready to play at the click of a finger.
