trentonlf: That would be Knock Knock

I need to pass on my turn if I'm correct ;-)
Yup, that' right.

trentonlf passed so his turn is free to grab.
I'll grab it, just a second :)

Ok here goes.

I just kidnapped a person of an "evil" (or just nutjob..) organization. He was making inspection rounds in an excavation area. Well it went kind of ugly but I made it. He was helpful in an interrogation and now my mission is to find a mask.

Someone who played it will probably recongize it from the context, but since I haven't, I'll ask:

What genre is it? What's your point of view?
Well at this point I'll just say it's first person, otherwise it might be too easy.

Is it a Hitman game?

Fever_Discordia: Is it a Hitman game?
No, not Hitman.

(And Hitman is 3rd person.. I think)

Edit. I'll give another hint. The mechanical contraptions of the enemy are making things quite tricky sometimes, though some of them can be shut down.

What's the setting? Fantasy, present day, futuristic, sci-fi?
Fantasy, well of those choices anyway :)
That sounds oddly familiar but I can't nail it... one of the Thief games perhaps?

That's close enough. It's Thief II - The Metal Age.

My next hint would have been that one of the forum frequenting blues uses the main protagonist as an avatar :D

So it was indeed familiar ;)

Here is the next one:

We are nearly extinct but we won't give up. We may only have backward technology and a single planet to build up our defenses but we want to LIVE! And that's why we will succeed! OK, let's build some turrets, expand our fleet and send some scouts to see what's what on other planets. Hey, look at that! A valuable ancient artifact right next to our planet! And the defenses are rather weak. Let's conquer it! (~half an hour later) Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit! We did conquer that planet but it wasn't a good choice! Sure, we got some nice technology but it angered our enemy so badly so that... wait, WHAT?! How many ships are going to attack our home planet?! We are doomed... Restarting the game in 3... 2... 1...

Fever_Discordia: MoO?
No. Please note that what I've describe is not something that may happen during the game (as it may happen in MoO) but something that will happen for sure. The game starts like that (near extinction) and consequences of conquering another planet depends also (not only!) on what you've found there.
