Sanjuro: Mousecraft?
Yes. Your turn.
We have to clear an old ruined fort not far from a village. I mean, it's not why we were sent to this village in the first place... come to think of it, why were we sent there at all? Were we supposed to find a druid who is late with his report to his superiors? Were we sent to talk with the local mayor? I can't remember.
Anyway, it all led to clearing that fort where bandits are rumored to have set camp. Can we do this all by ourselves or should we look for some help? And who would be able and willing to help us?

Steam? Is it one of the new remade D&D games?
Do you mean that forgotten village in Neverwinter Nights?

Green_Hilltop: Steam? Is it one of the new remade D&D games?
No. And while the engine name might be misleading, it has no connection with Valve. The game wasn't on their DD service last I checked.

ZFR: Do you mean that forgotten village in Neverwinter Nights?
No, the village isn't full of ghosts. In fact, its inhabitants are very much alive and willing to marry each other (oh, those quests...).

Is there word "Evil" present in game's name by chance? ;)

Indeed, there is. :-)

(P.S. And in case you feel like guessing the other words and taking the next turn, the game in your riddle doesn't have to be one you own, it's just a restriction I've placed upon myself, not one of the thread rules. If you know the game well, it should suffice. :-) )

OK, since no one decided to speak up. It's The Temple of Elemental Evil (2003) made by Troika Games on modified Arcanum engine, the "Steam engine".

And we have a winner. :-)

The show's all yours now.
I'm dead, yet I'm alive. I remember my family being slaughtered by orcs, I couldn't defend them. Talking to myself, talking to other self, seems like having identity disorder. Is it hell or limbo? No matter I can avenge my family by killing as many orcs as possible...
Ugh... So many dead orcs, yet they keep coming again and again. One particularly nasty was thrown into fire and baked alive, that serves him well. Another big one was put on his knees and beheaded by my sword.
The "baked" one returned on the next night with so many burns on his skin that even among orcs he stood apart in his disgusting ugliness, he put his deformed face under big bulky helmet. I tried to burn the monster, but instead of dying he only laughed back. Even his sword is some kind of distort manifestation of hell forge he comes from. I lured him away closer to a cave where bigger monster lurks, today I'll make him a surprise roasted meal for troll!
My nightmares are far from over. The "beheaded" one returned 2 days after, among the horde of approaching orcs I saw him and he grinned evilly in triumph. How it's even possible!?! He shouted at me about him taking his revenge and then they all attacked... Everyone dead except for him, he is invincible, my tricks not working, he will crush me -> I have to run, this is insane, what on earth happening?!? ;(

Does the whole game revolve about killing those orcs?
