Randalator: Well, how are you gonna get it to 88 mph in your basement?

truhlik: Some kind of giant centrifuge? ^^
I have a Delorean brand super collider that I keep behind the old xmas decorations. Its how I book my flights, how the hell else am I supposed to do it? Just take my chances and crash on an island to get eaten by a smoke monster? No sir I think not!
If they added bugs on an old game with no bugs, well, this is top notch!
Yeah, already happened with SH HD Collection too XD

TheJoe: That said, I preordered Grim because I want there to be 0 seconds between release and my download starting. Because I'm an idiot.

I AM AN IDIOT. LAUGH AT ME FOR PREORDERING A GAME. And don't do it yourself. Never. Ever. Do not be stupid.
Maybe i missed a post that said that, but where is the exact proof that GF is the buggy game of those upcoming "remastered editions"?

UhuruNUru: it's always best to wait until it's released when people can say if anythings wrong. Just wait and see first.
If your wise advice is to "wait and see first". What was the point of spewing this defamatory BS without any proof of which game they're talking about?
Next time "wait and see first".

(No I'm not a fanboy, I didn't preorder the game nor will I)

Nowhere. Just in general you should never pre-order a game.
I doubt it's Resident Evil. The reviews coming in now are very good, and seeing how it's not a port I can't see Capcom screwing up the PC version too much. RE4 was a buggy mess on release, but that was a port.

Grim Fandango on the other hand.. wouldn't surprise me if it's buggy.
Not to fan the flames of the rumor but as spoderman mentions above the Resident Evil: Remaster is getting good buzz. I was watching Totalbiscuit stream earlier today where he mentioned that he has RE: Remaster and it is a really good PC port. So by process of elimination that leaves Grim Fandango as the only other remastered game coming out this month which the OP highlighted as potentially being the one Laura Kate warned about in the podcast.
Doesn't Heroes of Might & Magic III HD come out this month? I'd say it's a likely candidate.

Judging by who is also porting it...
I really do hope that they did not screw up GF. I would be really destroyed inside as I am really looking forward to playing the game.
Even so I am sure that just like the MI redos there will be a way to rip the original out and then play that regardless. Dear go I hope so........... crossing my fingers.

Put me on the Idiot list too. So EXCITED!

LOL! I think this would be great on the Time Machine thread

MaGo72: I would like to see the old Resident Evil here.

I do not like all the HD remake stuff, the old Grim Fandango would have been a sure buy, but remastered...
When it concerns Resident Evil REmake, we've been waiting for a pc version of this game for 10+ yrs. Sometimes you have to take what you're given. I can't play my old gamecube copy forever.

tomimt: Sadly review embargo almost always means that the product in question has some glaring issues
avatar
Potzato: No I think the argument that says that it prevents 'rushed reviews' or equality between reviewers regardless of their ressources is quite valid.
Honestly, I wish I could believe that. Most of the time it's because the game has serious issues that they don't want anybody knowing about until it's too late to cancel their pre-orders.

Bad reviews are going to happen regardless of policy though.
Journalists should respond to embargoes by just not mentioning the game at all.

"Okay, we won't tell anyone if it's any good or not... or what it's about, when it comes out, or that it exists"
