Also Poing! was a game a bit like Krakout, interesting how much difference turning the game sideways can make http://www.pixelprospector.com/poing-pc/ . Not too recent considering the original was made on the Amiga.

Yeah that was it. I already own it on disc though I'm not sure why. :P
I like the Windows version of the open clone "LBreakout", it's not a unique game in any way but it's an okay arkanoider
I only like arcanoid/breakout games when you have the lasers powerup, and no ball, and the bricks slide through the screen, and fire back at you.

Given that, warblade is the best arkanoid/breakout clone i've seen.

Fantastic game. My favorite rendition. I remember playing the original arcade version with the dial and beat up cabinet in the Phoenix airport like 20 years ago. Good times.
