Book 2 of Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms is on the verge of being released according to a post in the Heretics forum. As GOG specifically says the price increase is for 'Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms [Season Pass]' this price increase implies the whole caboodle is in fact due soon...

Bear in mind that the '[Season Pass]' bit was manually added by mrkgnao to MaGog's database (just as he does with '[In-dev]', '[Pre-order]', '[Premium]', '[Upcoming]', and other tags), so we shouldn't read too much into it.

The post in the Heretics forum you mentioned looks like a more reliable hint that something is coming, though.
