I just love this period, the costumes, music, the way characters talk, apart from Barry Lyndon and Amadeus what are the best 17th century films?

Did a little research and the wig thing apparently started out in the second half of the 17th Century (Louis XIII going bald prematurely, starting to wear them and the other European courts jumping on the bandwagon because back then everything French was the bees knees).
Still strongly recommend watching La Reine Margot though, especially in the original French, if you can.
