The classic Sierra adventure game Gold Rush got the HD treatment a couple of years ago, with the original included as a bonus. I bought it on Steam. But I am wondering why it is not available on GOG,....
Maybe it will be? I never thought Freddy Pharkas would ever be released in a million years, and here we now have it. So maybe GR will come.
The original is only 0.71 (-88%) on Steam right now - http://store.steampowered.com/app/308000/
HD is only 1.94 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/319230/

Anyway, I'd guess several possible reasons: the original release was like $40, the regular price of $13 may still be too much, it doesn't look great from the screenshots, deep discounts on Steam take away from sales on GOG (which may be why we haven't seen more Retroism games released), ...

I think (trying to remember some conversions ive had with the head of Kiss Ltd before), I was told that it had actually been rejected by GOG. As for why, I dont recall that bit.

They have dropped the price down so maybe it is doable for gog.
Maybe GOG felt that the original price was just too high for this particular remaster.
