Hello,

some time ago I was writing on two little helpers/scripts for my personal Gog.com usage which can be found at Github searching for "jrie GogTools", "jrie" (is my account name) and "gogtools" the name of the Github project.

In particular most interesting, a version detector script which reads out the Gog versions of games installed (Windows, Linux and MacOS) - also DLCs can be enabled/disabled and compares it with the current online version, and displays if there are any updates available in addition to the currently installed game version.

There are two screenshots of this tool in Windows Powershell and Linux.

At the moment, the script gogTools-version detector requires Python3, but has no other dependencies exept "python-requests" to run.

At Github there is a usage guide, which can be found in "version-detector-retriever.md" - but I also attach "gvd_usage.png" where the options are listed.

---

Secondly, there is a browser userscript for Grease/Tampermonkey addons/extensions, called "what its worth" which can gather the order history to figure out what you have bought on Gog, how much paid, how much you saved, and what would it be worth using this information.

The script has some options and a usage guide which, also, can be found in the related "whatitsworth.md" file.

---

Please let me know if you find those tool(s) useful to you or if you find any bugs or something along that lines. :)

Best regards

Why don't you just post the link to github?

Hi, unfortunately I was not active in the community forums - and I am lacking of "score" to be able to add URLs.
But thank you very much for adding the link to the Github page.

Oh, I didn't know about that restriction. Happy to help!

Unless GOG fixed that (I doubt it) you can bypass that restriction by putting the URL in "quote" tags.

Well, actually I’m sure they did not fix that, because you did just that in the message I am answering to ;)
Oh wow, that's pretty cool, thank you for sharing your work :)
Thanks for sharing. I will check it out in more depth later.
Update to 0.0.3 of GogTools Version Detector.py:
A option to generate HTML output with direct links is now implemented.

A screenshot of this output is attached.
