Nixogan: This seems like a giant problem in the curation process. It is honestly pretty insane that they are apparently either unaware of this or just don't care.

Who knows how many great games were rejected at this point.
Oh, they're aware of people's thoughts on the matter.

As for games, quick results on a search:

Nixogan: Is Siralim Ultimate a lesser quality game that has had less work and thought put into it, compared to the 2 hour long, shallow, RPG Maker game that doesn't bother to change the base sprites?

Or is the latter higher quality because the characters have tits?
Still say that my personal guess about the Kagura matter is that the deal with them is that they provide a steady stream of games that cater to a specific audience that's pretty certain to provide a steady revenue. That can't apply to any single game or even series.

Please consider editing in a link to the community wishlist entry so people can vote for the game, at the top of your post. Unfortunately the games don't seem to have enough votes to help GOG take notice (considering they've accepted
Sklad which has even more primitive graphics).

Considerations for acceptance, imo, seem to get include (to varying degrees): besides "production values", how well gog expects the game to sell of course, if the publisher is AAA, if the publisher has already published various games on gog, if the game already sold a lot elsewhere (it being popular elsewhere might actually help get the game here), how well the genre generally sells on gog, if the game has hype behind it, wishlist votes, how well the game runs (probably mainly for old games)/what kind of compatibility work might need to be done and if the publisher expects gog to fix the game, base price compared to the content, if the publisher will let gog competitively discount the game on release if the game has been on other stores for years, how important online features are and who is expected to port online features to Galaxy, etc. Stuff like that.

All that said, I do think gog is being a bit less picky than they were before EGS competition.
