Gog.com search is garbage, it used to be good like search by years and many other such filters. I used to buy alot from gog.com i have over 400 games. I used to buy dozens a game year from gog.com now i buy maby 2-3 because i cant find jackshit due to gog awful ui
i think a simple "hide owned games" when browsing for games would go a long way

Both of those would be very welcome.
Searching across the site -- from games to forum -- is rather poor... not so poor as to be broken... but... enough to make the experience a chore.

But...

Then there's Steam that seems more-and-more difficult to manage as well.

Seems a theme.

mentioned it 15+ times to mods and devs of the site including the red banner on the top of the site notifying people of said game that is leaving GOG. they don't care.
GOG search is easily the least helpful search feature I've used on any website to date, the amount of basic features missing from it is unbelievable. That goes for the storefront and the forums.

For website or forum searches you can use general search engines like:

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=site%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.gog.com%2Fforum%2Fgeneral+%22Endless+Legend%22&ia=web

Unfortunately this doesnt work for the "browsing games" use case.
Yes It is horrible the search by tag function is gone!

e.g. Horror, FPP, RPG, FPS

Personally I really dislike how if you search for a game using the search bar and hit Enter it will automatically jump to whatever the first game on the list is rather than giving you the entire list.

GOG could use an overhaul for their website.

The fact you have to rely on an ad-hoc solution like this to do basic stuff speaks volumes about the state of the website.

It is goofy to be me to see things on the site "improved" while other ancient broken systems remain intact.

I too use other search engines to search the site unless I know exactly what I want.

P.s. I did use Magog a handful of years ago when it was maintained. It didn't look pretty, but it was extremely useful.
