Once again ... this is the 3rd or 4th time now, you have sent me a completely ridiculous and unnecessary email.

The email title
Your new game lineup is ready to explore! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝

The blurb
You will love these titles!
We have selected these games especially for you. Let's find out which title you will spend the next several dozen hours with.

List of games
Eschalon: Book II
Hell Division
King of Seas
Lacuna – A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure
The Night of the Rabbit
Trüberbrook

The silly thing is, I own every single one of them AT GOG.
So how exactly did you select these especially for me?

Please stop doing this.

Being a customer of GOG's sounds like an annoying time, like an overtly cheerful clerk trying to make commission, so they keep asking if there's anything you're interested in, even though you bought the part you were thinking of on Mouser and you were just here because they have climate control and were just thinking to compare models of washing machine that you might one day buy, but you know you'd prefer to get a Maytag A408 in spite of it's 40+ year vintage, since you know it runs better than most industrial and modern machines with less parts to break and no electronics to short...

...Sorry, where was I?

Well, there you go. They nailed it. You really would enjoy those games.

I unsubscribed from everything some time ago. I wonder if it's tied to the past two giveaways showing up as already claimed.
Update: I didn't do anything and the current giveaway now shows as claimable on the homepage.

I'm sure they make selections for recommendations for games based off some sort of AI programming.

It's not like they are going to have a GOG employee manually select game recommendations for each customer and then send them a personalized, hand-written email about it.

Of course, but you'd think that process would also check if I already had the games. That is the truly silly part.

Clearly they are hoping I will buy more. But that isn't going to happen if they are only pushing games I already own at GOG at me.

Since lately I am unsubscribed from their newsletter(s), so I don't receive these anymore.
But back, when I still got them, I also always(!) owned at least 2 to 4 out of the 6 recommendations already.
They don't care.

Yeah maybe someone is getting off on stating the bleeding obvious.

Yeah that did occur to me, as it was a few minutes before I unsubscribed the Partners setting, due to changing browsers etc, and forgetting for a few minutes.

I am hoping that TheDcoder will update his script to support the link he provided me, which I'd forgotten to use on this latest occasion, but have saved as a bookmark now.

https://www.gog.com/giveaway/claim

That will hopefully mean avoiding to have to use Opera to claim a free game.

In that place somewhere between here and there and East of the Sun, just North of center.

And probably imbibing something. LOL

I might join you. :)

Yeah, I've gotten a fair number of those too.
But at least with those, you might even be interested in one of those you don't have, so not a total waste like this latest thing.

Oh well, I guess it gives us something to talk about in the forums and complain ... maybe have a laugh. LOL

It does not make GOG's image look too bright though, and smacks of desperation.
