ReaverT: A reply would be appreciated.
What was Disney's response to your contact informing them that you would like to purchase all these games DRM free on GOG.com?
avatar
Grargar: They are in a Galaxy, far, far away.
You left out, "A long time ago".

adaliabooks: Is it that time of week again?
I was thinking more like "the month" as opposed to "week"...

skeletonbow: There are exceptions sometimes if a company is comfortable to talk about it, but in that case it would be Disney that interested parties should be contacting because they own the games.

One thing is certain though, ranting about it on the forums isn't going to make anything magically change to one's liking. There's always Steam around the corner for the disenfranchised, or other awesome DRM-free storefronts like ShinyLoot and Desura to compete with GOG to do better for DRM-free gaming. Oops, maybe not. :)
avatar
skeletonbow: I have an idea, why not yell at the entire community of other gamers that aren't responsible for the problem and don't really have any way to make games magically appear here either. [snip]Thanks, I can't wait!

Hey, the forum imposes character limits, Canadian Tolstoy.

LOL, yeah that sucks. If I use American spellings I can sometimes fit in an extra phrase or two though. :)
avatar
ReaverT: Regarding your first point... It was Disney the one who aproached GOG in the first place to release all these tittles for the first time through Digital Distribution
<snip>
avatar
skeletonbow: Well it sure does sound like you're pretty upset about this. I have an idea, <snip>
So I have been doing this wrong the entire time? Wow. No wonder I never got anywhere.

ReaverT: After all, your site stands for Good Old Games right?
Nope. GoG.com informed already a long time ago that GoG shouldn't be seen as an acronym for "Good Old Games" anymore, to stress the fact that they are starting to sell newer games too on top of old games.

GoG stands for "Gimped optional Galaxy" now, I think.

And here I was thinking it meant "Grumpy Old Gamers". You learn something new every day.

That would mean quoting the entirety of those 2 posts. I figured that everyone is intelligent enough to know that the rest of your posts were implied... ;)

I coulda kept going, but I opted for playing "Despair" on Steam instead. :) Worst game ever made! I should have kept going instead, would have been more fun. :)
I have got a bad wild guess regarding the fate of the missing lucasarts games

A) The missing star wars games : EA being the jerks they are might have requested disney not allow releases of any other star wars games so that people wanting to play star wars play the newest crappy star wars release and anything else they might release in the future.

B) Missing Adventure games : Disney must have gotten a ton of requests from devs like double fine to make HD Re-Release of the games so might be exploring that option

Highly unlikely. If that was true, then no Star Wars games would be released on GOG, as the exclusivity deal between Disney and EA was signed in 2013. Yet, Disney released 18 Star Wars games here just fine.

Considering thart even Full Throttle will get the remaster treatment, that actually seems to be the case.
