ayellowline: Any updates on this issue? I still can't buy anything!
Me neither , and the deponia promo is about to finish :(

Bumping because I still cant buy anything
I think the introduction of SafeCard as payment method have something to do because I was able to buy until early february and there was only possible to buy with PayPal and a credit card. Late in february SafeCard was introduced (At least for my zone) and the problem start.
We're missing out the double insomnia promo. i can't believe it!
This loop is trolling me, as I win a free game but the god damn loop recharge the page instead of processing it, so I lost the chance to get the free game :(

Just like you said before, GOG have to make it up for us after this problem is solved. Some kind of reward 'cause this is just annoying and frustating.

Yeah, we need a compensation, this is madness! Luckily, I am easy to compensate: Outlast + Wishtleblower OR HotlineMiami 2 and I will be happy >:(

Hahahaha, nah, I am not mad. A little frustrated because GOG hasn't fix it yet, but I can't complain. In fact, I am very gratefull with GOG's community since forum members are taking the lead over this issue. That's a indirect thank for Tannath, mistermumbles, and MaGo72, thank you again guys ;)

However I think they broke something fixing it since the main page have some bugs.

montcer9012: Do you need to pay in US$?

DreamedArtist: Yeah they don't charge CAN at all, GOG GET ON THAT CANADIAN DOLLAR OPTION >:(

I am deleting my browser and testing a re install and using that god forsaken shit IE one as well
If they do ever add CAD currency option, it will be interesting to see if the price offered is better than the rate offered via one's usual payment method. Hopefully they allow easy control over what is displayed on site and what you pay out in configurable on each transaction too.

price on gog goes 4.99 I purchase with visa card and look at my visa statement 3 days later and shows me I was charged 7.49 almost 8 dollars CAD This is why I need a canadian option on this site, Steam did it amazon did it many other sites do it why can't GOG do CAD option as it's one of the most easiest to implement on any site.

and the number 1 thing I see people say NO dont do it is cause game in us 49.99 here in canada 59.99

what they don't think is conversion rate on purchase the bank does is pretty much getting the CAD price on any US price you spend on. picked up a steam game once was around 29.99 here at the store was 37.99 and when I looked at my visa BOOM same price but maybe 50 cents more.

Ouch, my credit card doesn't do that. It's about 10%ish higher due to the exchange rate for me. It is a bit surprising they haven't added CAD already though. I'm not sure which I'd prefer if the option was available personally. I'd have to compare GOG's offered CAD rate with what my card charges me and pick the best on a given transaction I guess. More options are always better though.

As for the local currency price being inflated or whatever the way I would deal with such a thing is to decide what the maximum price I will pay for something in the given currency. If some game I want goes on sale for that price, I buy it. If it is higher than that price, I don't buy it. Why the price is higher than I'll pay wont matter to me, whether the game is just more expensive, or because the exchange rate conversion is terrible... I just wouldn't buy it. I wouldn't be upset about it either, but I wouldn't cough up more money for something than I'm willing to pay either. Got a big library to keep me busy if it comes down to that. :)

I have TD Bank here was with scotiabank at one point but left them due to all the shit slow service they had

but yeah I want to contact the dude in charge of the price structure on gog here but keep on getting in hold of guys who say HEY! yeah we are thinking on it... almost 3 years later nothing and they still say the same thing.

I will post a snippet of my transaction of a 13.99 dollar game here and show you what I have to deal with after that lol

I hope GOG takes look at this crap and adds CAD dollar after seeing this.
