This year is GOG's 15th anniversary, so I hope we'll be getting some special sales and nice releases to celebrate. That may be sometime in September.

Or maybe even a bit earlier!

Considering the most recent historical data, there were always some big sales active in the last days of August:
2022: The GOG Sale
2021: GOG Games Festival
2020: Harvest Sale

Anyway – not earlier than in a few weeks. As we're in the middle of the summer holidays, we should not expect big sales/events in the first half of August.

No midweek sale yet? Time to speculate about a big sale coming up soon! I want our best men on the case!
I don't think we'll see a big sale until gog's anniversary. I wonder if (apparently) ongoing download problems has them not wanting to deal with more than is necessary right now, or polish holiday is happening?
As always, there will be no sale without there first being a price matrix update, and then it will be a matter of days. This hasn't happened yet, so the missing midweek promo is not indicative of an impending sale.

Sometimes there'll be a news post a week before a big sale imploring us to update our wishlists, so that's something to look out for too.

But-but! My wild speculations! My irrational desire for big sales, whether or not something I want is included! You can't hit me with the cold truth just like that.

Yeah, we had Armed Forces Day on Tuesday and it's also Assumption of Mary (holiday in the catholic church), so it created so called "long weekend" and no chance for big sale, as a lot of people are on vacations. I'd guess the first possible date for bigger sale is Monday 28/08 – looks like a good moment for "back to school sale" to start!
Got a pop-up window announcing autumn sale in a couple of days...
Monday maybe?

Almost all my wishlisted games are pretty new releases though, so might not be anything for me, but we'll see...
Backlog is huge so no need for me to be greedy :D

But what does this mean for the 15 year anniversary?
Are they doing that way later or what?

"Why the site is still in Beta version?"
"As every self-respectable website, in the era of Web 2.0, we have to carry out beta for at least a year before we can launch the site. Unless you will act briefly and send us your feedback asap, we might think of launching the site earlier."
OK OK give her some time
"Yes, we’re in beta and looking for your feedback!
Copyright © 2008 GOG.com. All rights reserved. Terms of Use Privacy Policy Our Thanks"
That`s the GOG approach I can realize this as sympathetic.
March 1st 2009 https://web.archive.org/web/20090301235817/http://www.gog.com/en/frontpage/
"Yes, we’re in beta and looking for your feedback!"

I got this! I mean You! got this!
"Sep 02, 2009
To celebrate this monumental first anniversary, we're launching "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" Interplay promotion for all our fans to say "Thank you!" for such great year! Those of you who have been with us from the very beginning remember the first "Buy 1, Get 1 free" promo. To celebrate the first anniversary of the Early Access Beta we're going retro with a rerun of this promo! Until Tuesday, September 8 at 11:59 p.m. EDT"
https://web.archive.org/web/20090905170911/http://www.gog.com/en/page/1year_promo/

So It is officially 2nd September 2008 when GOG started due to First Anniversary or 15th September 2008 for First Access Codes

and when it comes to the address gog.com it was registered between Apr and Oct 2007
"eventAction": "expiration",
"eventDate": "2025-09-30 08:00:42"
30th September 2007 could be the day of "quick! let`s register gog.com before someone else does that :D"
