Funny, I expect to be treated with respect since I am a paying customer, and have been subscribed to the GOG Twitch channel for 14 months now. And believe me, there won't be a 15th, as long as you decide to ignore your actual base.

Eula doesn't matter that much in the EU, but that is entirely beside the point.

I control what happens with my GOG library, since every game can be downloaded to a portable HDD and installed without any online component. I can install at will, play at will, and neither GOG nor anyone else really have any ability to prevent me from installing or playing. I'm not legally allowed to give away such copies, but aside from that, yeah, I reckon I pretty much own those games as much as any ownership is possible with digital distribution.

Steam is a very different story, wouldn't you say? Certainly doesn't offer you the same control and by extension not the same level of ownership over what you're paying for.

When a minority goes on a shooting spree, it's a gang, it's a terrorist act, and the solution is, "We need tougher laws!!!"
When a white person goes on a shooting spree it's a lone gunmen, it's mental illness, and the solution is "thoughts and prayers."

When he first became President this is the one problem I DIDN'T think he had. I thought as bad as he was/is, at least he isn't racist. Well I was wrong.

The guy is a bigot and there is no amount of rationalizing you can do to change that.

You make a solid point, but I guess I just don't think the number of people who even care about this, let alone the number passionate enough about the GG side, amount to anything threatening. If word spread and news sites started posting about "prominent game storefront supports controversial GamerGame movement" then that could snowball into a big thing. Quietly denouncing said group while removing a twitter joke? I doubt it makes anywhere near the ripples needed to hurt GOG's business with the silent majority who don't care much.

Again though, something I said pages ago, I was out of video games most of the last 4 years, and I think I haven't truly grasped how big a "war" this was. Maybe I underestimate just how many passionate GG type people there are out there and how seriously they take such things. I hope not, because I seriously don't think this is something any non-harasser should be super upset about. Just my perspective.
