I got locked out of my email by google and was unable to recover it.

Because I am at the same location and know my username and password I was able to log into my steam account and change my email to my new one.

I then logged into my GOG account but even though I'm logged into the account I can't change the email with out using a verification code GOG send to the locked email....I can access all my game and see my sensitive information but god forbid I can't change my email.

So I contacted support asking them to change my old email to my new one and I have been ignored.

I have brought many games off GOG and introduced multiple people to GOG who have also supported the platform and the one time I need support, a little help getting my email changed I'm met with a stupid security setup that needs to be revised and silence from support.

How long ago did you make the request? You can try DM a blue on forms for help.

I swear once you get locked out Gmail that account is gone. How did you get locked out of your Gmail?

You haven't been ignored. Support is just slow. Be sure to send them proof of account ownership now, to move things along quicker. I believe the last 4 digits of the card used for the last order is an example of something they'd ask for.

It has been about a day and a half since I made the request.
I don't know why google locked my email it just said "we have detected suspicious activity" I had a recovery email but it was also locked at the same time for the same reason.

Gog grew too big while their staff didn't bother keeping up. Add to that the questionable curation(often adding games few might care for while denying devs with games more might buy) and devotion of more resources to their steam lite attempt and you end up with customer support worse than the kwikie mart kind.

That's very little time for GOG support. Plus, seems like all of GOG staff was on holiday for a week, so I assume they have quite some catching up to do.
Poland really needs to cut back on it's holidays. Or staff need to be brought in anyways. Maybe even both.
Do you have backups of your receipts from that e-mail? I am surprised you are not more concerned about it (the e-mail). If it was your primary e-mail for steam and gog it means you have a lot of important info on it. As for the support - it may take a while after the holidays but even normally it would take a bit more time than a day or 2!

FarkyTheDog: (....)
There is a project bringing all Fridays work-free. I hope it will succeed.
Also, believing that support will resolve the issue, apart from any jokes about GOG, their support always helped me the best way they could.

This is not confirmed info but wait more than 3 days and use a different web browser.
Ideally, it should still be acceptable (not too outdated) by email site and was used to log in at some point.
Let them "spy" on you – I mean using not too restrictive privacy settings. If they can't spy on you to some extent they lock your email. I have no words for that. Something similar happened to me recently with the same company.
Dang, didn't know Google would ban for using their own privacy features. But I do know they will 100% ban for third-party privacy features (Brave, Graphine, VPN).
Have you contacted Google Support or Gmail Support.

I use Brave with the default security stuff (ad blocking etc), and I have no issue logging into Gmail.

That said, Google may not like their adverts being blocked ...though one would expect a notification if that were the case, like many sites do.

Not that. I've got strict privacy active on Firefox and Ublock O. Gmail never has given me lip.
