I'd have really suspected dedo. Not sure I'd have had the guts to go through with it, though. Thing is, if I vote nmillar and I'm wrong, I can say "gg dedo, nice win". If I vote dedo and I'm wrong, I'd be known as the moron who snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by voting the most towny player.

That's also what I felt as well. Let's say I took dedo's anecdote to account and said "wait, it can't be nmillar, he's too obvious about being scummy." Then I vote dedo instead. Well first I had to climb the mountain of nmillar suspecting me, but still, assume nmillar is scum. I'd have ignored all the obvious "evidence" and "leads" towards nmillar being the scum based on the suspicion that something is wrong with dedo. Then I'd be the laughingstock of GOG Mafia games for years.

also, i was buffaloed by Dedo the whole game. I honestly thought the Pooka vs NMillar was TvS or SvT.

how or when do the values change? Maybe this is a stupid thing to get hung up on, but I don't follow. :(

I have not followed the game except the very end but congratulations to winners and hope you all had good times.

How would you say the game without any roles worked? Is it feasible? Is it entertaining?

It's feasible and entertaining for sure. It's also intense AF as even though pretty much everything went as planned I was always stressing about it and second-guessing my own logic. I have no idea how it would have went if Joppo wasn't removed so early on. Probably a different game altogether.

I think it also worked for the Town as I believe I had a decent Town view of things. Once I remained by myself I effectively got the opportunity to play as Town as I could scumhunt for everything that was suspicious without being afraid I'll out my buddy since I already did that :D

Yeah, I think I played well in that part and managed to be useful while I was on the board, despite my costly mistake. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever be trusted in a Mafia game again, lol. But it was well worth it. :-)

Nah, we're good. Half the people here have made fools out of everyone on past occasions.

I think that's a bit harsh. Personally I agreed with ZFR's analysis but obviously I couldn't voice an opinion during the game. Certainly I don't think it had anything to do with town losing, mostly it's just that dedo played a near perfect game and joppo recognised the mistake he made allowing them to capitalise on it.

It doesn't change, it's set at the beginning by catte.

The question is, what should you decide to do based on the value that catte sets it. For e.g. if catte sets it to 900$ for a draw, then you don't NK because a draw is beneficial to you, you get a sure 900$ instead of the 1000$ for a win which you may or may not get. If however catte sets the draw prize at 500$ then you NK because on average you'll do better by aiming for the higher 1000$ win prize.
