You watch in horror as the blood rushes forth from Rebecca's corpse and starts to boil and evaporate. Some black shadow seems to absorb it and grow darker, or was that a trick of the light. In any case, you start to scream for the Judge. "We have a Witch! She killed herself!" The guards rush in and look in horror at the scene. Then they drag Rebecca out and burn her body, since hanging has become unnecessary.

As you sit in horror, watching the blood seep into the wooden floor, a shadow seems to hover near the window, dark coalescing on the edges of the frame. You hear a whisper that fades slowly beyond hearing,

"They will reward me..."

Another Day dawns. The crows in the village oak are cawing as if they wait for you. It's foggy outside and your view doesn't stretch farther that to that old tree. Is the village still there? You can't see. But you are still locked in and, again, someone amongst you was killed. Cristigale lies in a few shallow traces of blood. Again, far too little blood for the gashing wound in her throat. You call in the authorities and they take care of the body and investigation. It turns out, that cristi was a completely regular town-person with nothing to hide.

Well, thinking it over, from my vantage point it seems fairly straightforward.

Curious to hear what mud has to say.

That was a little unexpected but I suppose I don't know who mafia investigated prior.

This is an interesting twist. I had convinced myself cristi was mafia over the last couple days because I was certain she was going to be alive today and one of bler and flubb would not be. Also the possible signal to agent right before his vote. Assuming there is a vengeful townie if I've done my math right town has a good chance here.

Bler, if you're still wondering I would have taken the 50/50 on you or flubb last night but this was based on mafiame knowing cristi was vanilla town.

So does anyone want to claim vengeful townie here?

1. I don't follow the first part. Why me/flub 50/50? Just, like, total coin toss? No rationale? And why include the end clause at all?

2. The reality of this F3 is that, for everyone who's not vengeful, it doesn't really matter what they think. So it's really just a 1 player game at this point with 2 player window dressing. But really, I would think it would have been apparent.

Tho, the upside of not being vengeful is you can vote whoever you like at any time with no real consequences. So there's that ;)

1. Well I don't know who's vengeful townie. But I was guessing based on previous days that cristi was vanilla town so without knowing anything else it would be a 50/50 between you and flubb. But if you want my gut feel it is you.

2. I didn't take it quite to completion. I was thinking even if i screw up and vote vengeful townie and he is lynched he still has a shot at winning the game. A further look does indeed show my vote to be worthless here unless it is on myself.

With that said I guess I'll vote flubb. flubb if you're vengeful townie good luck.

This time it's quick. Muddy points a finger at flubb and flubb herself openly admits: "Yes, I'm a witch! Lynch me!" ... Quickly the guards come in and drag her out. But just as they tie her up she screams: "But I'm not the only witch here! I want to make a confession before I die to ease the burden on my concience. The other remaining witch is..."

" ... bler144! She isn't only a witch, she's our Head-Witch! We totally all followed her! I swear to God against whom I have sinned! Kill me, if you must, but kill her too or all will be for naught!"

"Fine with me." says the Judge. "The more, the merrier. Grab her, guys."

The guard grab bler, who fights back and screams that there was no vote, no majority. Just the mad ravings of one spiteful woman. But in vain. They string her up on the oak branch right next to flubbucket. And while flubbucket stops struggling quickly and suffocates like a normal woman, bler's tenacity is conciderable. Shadows collect around her and keep her alive. The rope even snaps! ... But in that moment the guards, who were prepared when they saw her struggling, open fire. Hit by a dozen bullet, she goes down and is quickly hung again, before she recovers. The priest says his prayers and douses her with holy water and the Judge himself takes up a pistol and puts a bullet in her head, for good measure. Then she finally is still and is quickly burned.

A scream rises from the pyre and some kind of shadow, like fog, dances in the flames. Writhes and then evaporates under the noon sun. Voices of all the dead witches are heard for a moment - and then fade. And for the first time in weeks, nay, months, Salem feels free again.

The curse of the witches has been lifted!

Upon reflection, I wouldn't do the double-lynch mechanic again. That turned out to be difficult to balance. But I do like the late-day vote incentive in the form of the two phases. The Lyncher was also difficult to balance, but in the end everything turned out to be quite balanced and up to the very end both sides had a chance to win. The game was very fascinating to watch.
