All your games are playable without Galaxy (except Gwent), simply launch them from the exe file or a shortcut. As far as Galaxy not working... open task manager, is it running in the background?

As reported by another user, they found success fixing this issue by doing the following:

hohiro: You could take a look into the json files in C:\programdata\gog.com\galaxy with a text editor. They should have plain text in them. For me one of these files (communication_config.json) was corrupt on my laptop and deleting it made Galaxy rebuild it and start normally again.

Do note you have to show hidden files to see ProgramData.

I did what you said and executed the games instead of the GOG Galaxy and it worked :D but when I try to look for any GOG app in the task manager, nothing comes up. And I deleted the communication_config.json file but nothing happened still.

Was Galaxy working before? Did it stop after an client update or something like that? You may have to try uninstalling Galaxy then importing your games again by going to the GOG COM logo -> scan and import.

You may also want to reach out to GOG support so they can better troubleshoot this issue with you.

I'm not sure. As far as importing you got to get Galaxy to work first but top post in the Galaxy thread expains it:

I would really suggest you contact GOG support for help.
