It's been an hour and still haven't got anything, also I don't see why should he unfriend +block me unless its a scam. had no reason to be suspicous as it seems that the dude has traded a lot before, go figure.

Clearly it was a scam. You really shouldn't be doing trades like this unless it's someone you know.

Consider it lost, he's not going to give you what you asked for, if he even had it.

I'm guessing he's never posted in forum because I can't find him.

As you can see he has a lot of positive comments on his profile so I had no reason to doubt him. I made few trades in the last week with people I don't know and it all went smooth, seems like you can never know unfortuantly. I always thought your stalking skills are more powerful than that.

+rep is absolutely meaningless. Not in the least because you can delete every -rep post you want from your own profile. You should never take it as proof of reliability.

Unfortunately you can't report him period because trading isn't condoned by GOG; formal has nothing to do with it. I know, I've asked! :P

I'm pretty sure Steam has some mechanic in place to report scam traders. You should check.

They do, but that's really more for when you actually use the trading system instead of just sending a code via chat.

I'm sure the reporting system could be used anyhow. Either way, no harm in trying.

Still worth doing imo. There'd be no point in having the button if people actually used the trading system like they're supposed to, there's almost no way of getting scammed that way.

His single report might not result in anything but if other people get scammed and report as well his report could add validity to the others.

It's from Humble Bundle, right? Humble Bundle has been known to rescind codes in the past and issue new ones in the case of scams. I'd contact them. They are the ones who can removed it and re-issue it.

I will say, all that stuff over the DOTA item should have been a clear tell it was a scammer.
