In fact, at the end I failed to recognize the janitors as alter egos for the devs, and it was the comments in this thread that made me make the connection. Upon learning this, yeah, I've got no choice but accepting there is no message or greater truth about this game's story. Well played, Dennaton, well played. :P
I know there's people who talk about the game being a little anti-violence, the blend of colors and swaying environments are supposed to make you a little nauseous with it all. They also have a bit of a critique on American hyper-violence in particular, the devs are swedish and like I mentioned the password to find the truth was "Born in the USA", and it reveals the organization behind it is some kind of nationalist militia.
It's just that these aren't the things I picked up on playing the game, so I'm not good at arguing in their favor, but you could definitely read it in a whole different light. WBGhiro for one is someone who is a lot more invested in the lore and plot than I was, if he stops by again I'm sure he could counter-argue me and sing its praises.
