It looks like all the Mac games are incompatible with macOS Catalina, since they are mostly 32bit (BattleTech is new enough to work). The store pages really need to be updated for this. For example, the NWN:EE page just says Mac OS X (10.11+) and it should now read Mac OS X (10.11-10.14). This is kind of a big deal and GOG needs to get to changing a LOT of web pages, documentation, testing, updating.....

Sorry for the bad news.

True, felt the same as of now.

Can we get confirmation that all of Mac games are EOL'd? Sad day if I have to say goodbye to Sid Meier Alpha Centauri, but I guess a 20-year run is pretty good.
Not all, just those 32 bit games. All DOS games can be moved to play on an emulator made to run on 64 bits. Some games have recieved 64 bit files from the developers, others were made in 64 from the beginning.

A lot of games will not be playable but not all. You will need FreeBSD (not sure if a good choice), Linux (+ Wine) or Windows. I am not a Macintosh person and do not know if they are blocking you from installing other operating systems next to Mac OS.

EDIT: Some good news in the post below this.

Boot Camp has been a thing for many years. Rebooting to play games has never been a great experience though. Codeweavers is apparently working on some ways to get 32-bit Windows games working in 64-bit Wine, so at least some 32-bit games could potentially be playable, though you'd have to download the Windows version and use Crossover.

Good thing about making 64 bit Wine capable of doing 32 bit programs. Really good news for a lot of people.

I know it is not a terrific experience with rebooting in order to play as I use both Linux and Windows (not Mac OS though). A decent ssd certainly helps making it a fast thing.

ADD: The game subforums are full of new threads about problems running the games on the latest Mac OS.

Well, it remains to be seen if they can actually get it to work and what sort of performance it would have if they do. But at least it's a possibility.

Mostly I'd recommend that people just not update unless forced to. Heck, I'm still on 10.13. From what I've heard, Catalina sounds unusually buggy even ignoring the 32-bit thing, without any particularly compelling new features. Makes you wonder what they actually gained by going 64-bit only.
Is there any filter, that you can use while searching, that shows which games on GOG.com are compatible with Catalina (64-bit)? Thanks in advance.
They filtered out 32-bit games entirely, so if it shows as Mac-compatible at all, then it's 64-bit. Which is of course not useful for everyone not using Catalina and is the worst way to handle things. Bizarrely, the Windows specs for games that have a 32-bit Mac version have a warning about not running on Catalina, but don't otherwise show as Mac-compatible.

Interesting, thank you for the information.

Couldn't the simply make a filter for choosing/selecting to only show Catalina-compatible and pre-Catalina Mac games? Or is this too complicated?
I think they never thought of it.

That's one in a long list of things GOG could do, that would make for a better experience (and none of them are complicated)....
Thanks both of you.

So they rather disabled these "old" Mac games, so that you accidentaly cannot buy them at all. Even if you have an older Mac computer or compatible (MacOS) system now you even don't know if there is a Mac version of a game, that could potentionally run. They are simply hidden now.

Can't you use Magog to find most of them? http://www.an-ovel.com/pages/magog.php
Ok, it's not ideal - but being a Mac user and playing 32 bit games is now far from ideal anyway.

Yeah, you are right, there are other options. Thank you.
