We are excited to announce that today, on August 24th – the Independence Day of Ukraine – we are implementing Ukrainian localization into our GOG GALAXY client, available for all of you who want the client to be in the Ukrainian language.

To offer this personalized GOG GALAXY experience to our Ukrainian community is something that gives us an immense amount of joy. We purposefully took the effort to release it on a day as significant as the celebration of Ukraine's independence in order to show our support for all our Ukrainian players.

Bringing Ukrainian language to GOG GALAXY client is the first step to make the GOG Platform fully localized in the future.

Now, there's only one thing left to do: check out all the amazing bargains from our ongoing Made in Ukraine sale and enjoy games created by our talented friends from Ukraine.

TheCleaner517: Yes, I am a bigot towards Ukrainians.... because a game store added your language. Let's not forget that this same game store has stopped the sale of games being sold here from Russia, isolating an entire people because of their government. That's it. You got me.
Although I agree that the decision was not the best, and it would have been better to keep selling games and put the profits to support Ukraine...
But what you wrote raises a lot of questions (and doubts about your adequacy). For example: why are you against Ukrainians, if the decision about sales was made by Poles?
Or, for example, banning Russians from buying games from GOG is exactly a reason to be on the side of Russians?
Russians are definitely the more harmed side?
And many others.

You don't have to answer, in principle it's clear who you are and what you are and what you stand for (and it doesn't change in any way by the number of times you repeat the phrase that no one understands your point of view).

We fighting with very similar propagandas in my country media webpages too.
I want to disappoint you, but he's probably really from the US. Most likely he is just a fan of the American version of putin - trump.
And the style is so similar because fans of authoritarianism and populist politicians are the same everywhere.

Don't use galaxy, but more language options is always a good thing

TheCleaner517: And then turn around and say "Russian bad no Russian"... when trying to "boycott" them from a game store standpoint, really does nothing at all for effect and only ends up hurting innocent Russian devs and their families along with innocent Russian civilians that would have enjoyed games from this store.
Because Russia is the "baddie of the week" many seem to easily ignore/put aside that "little incident"
from awhile back*, yet if it were their own country instead I bet the tune they sing would be a different one.

(*i.e. gog blocking game sales in that country)

The above aside, Gog is prolly gonna make a nice bit of profit from this latest PR stunt.
(and with luck, a portion of it will be used to bring some more good quality classic games here)
