ok so i keep trying to download any game on gog galaxy but i instantly get a server problem message popping up i dont get it

For the time being, you can only download offline installers through a web browser. Still waiting on staff to comment on this issue, or for someone who got a response to their support ticket to share it publicly.

i get that i can download the games via the account via the offline installers but dosent that hinder achievements cuz i arent playnig the games via gog galaxy ?

You can use the offline installers, then in GOG Galaxy, click the cogwheel in the top left, choose Add Games & Friends, then Scan Folders for GOG Games. However, I don't know if the GOG Galaxy problem that affects your account is limited to downloads, or it affects other features as well.

Is your GOG account the only one connected to the client? If this is not the case and the error message pops-up shortly after the client has started and is trying to import games, be quick to open Settings (that little cog in the top-left corner), go to Settings and Disconnect other accounts like Ubisoft, Origin, XBox-Live, Epic. Wait until your games have been imported from GOG before trying to re-connect and import libraries from other sources.

Make sure that your Firewall isn't blocking GalaxyClient.exe, GOG Galaxy Notifications Renderer.exe, GalaxyUpdater.exe, GalaxyCommunication.exe and plugin_runner.py In case they are blocked allow Outgoing traffic.

If GOG is the only account you are connected to and this error still persists, press Win+S (or go to Start and use Search), enter services.msc hit enter and look whether GalaxyClientService and GalaxyCommunication is running while the client is open.

When this doesn't solve your problem, contact support and ask them for help.
