john_hatcher: Or can you tell me how I can start Gwent without the optional drm-free client software called Galaxy?

And no, just because this game is from CDPR or GOG, that makes no exception.

GameRager: It's ONE game....you seem to act like that means GOG is going to require galaxy for all games just because their silly card game uses it.
Where do you draw the line? 1 game? 2 games? 10 games??? My line is drawn at exactly zero.
It is as always. Most people will be ok with everything and will still find some little thing that makes GOG better than other stores or will tell me, why GOG has to do this or that change, since the other option is to close down.
I see that differently.

And regarding your last response to me. I‘m normally a very nice and trusting guy, but when some company repeatedly changes things for the worse, it can happen that my trust is gone and it won‘t be easy to get that back.
And GOG has crossed that line quite some time ago and from my point of view will not go back on track ever.

Just my point of view, which no one has to agree with.

Maybe if GOG started doing it on NON-CDP games(which they haven't and likely never will do)

Also standing one's ground is good sometimes, but sometimes one should compromise on some things....life isn't all about drawing a line in the sand and refusing to cross it.

From that it seems you're both biased now against GOG in some ways & also your gain trust/lose trust ratio seems to be imbalanced and overly unfair towards regaining trust(at least with GOG)....you seem to overlook/disregard/not give enough trust back for the good they do each year.

Fair enough
